Looks like a great signing. Offers a bit of directness on the wing. An outball and some pace. I like.

The two Moussas in the middle would be tasty also. Promising.

I like the positivity. He's not scored many goals in his career and he's not actually a right winger but he offers us a different kind of option. He won't keep the ball as well as our other creative types like Lamela, Eriksen etc but he is powerful, pacey and direct and that is something we've lacked as an attacking option. Definitely not worth £30million but a very good squad option, we have an extremely well balanced squad now.

Wel done Potch And co,

There's a slight timidity to his play. You feel there's a really top player there, but he just needs belief and confidence rather than being scared or overthinking things.

Agree. In the Euros final he was taking players on and scaring them every time he got the ball.

He did it a few times today, but I couldn't shake the feeling he was playing within himself a bit. Hopefully it'll come through gaining confidence.

I think he lacks the agility to be proper winger, that quick change of direction. He's great at bundling his way in a straight line like a rugby wing, but he won't be able to turn players inside out.

Have no idea why we signed him or what his role is supposed to be. I've not seen anything in him that wasn't already covered in the squad so far, but hopefully a few matches in a row can change that.

One of those players that will actually be better away from home as the oppostion is on the front foot and he has a bigger pitch upon which to use his strengths. I'm not sure a game like yesterday, with the way that Sunderland set up was the best in which he could demonstrate his strengths.

I agree in a sense but we do lack a direct wide man who won't play inverted. To me he seems like a player who may be more effective in away games, playing against teams who won't sit back as much and when the pitch is a bit stretched. He came on against Stoke when we'd practically stopped playing by the time he was on so is harsh to judge him then, came on in the CL and despite not having the chance to do much he looked like what we'd been missing most of the game, some attacking urgency. Yesterday he looked maybe only ok but no worse than anyone other than the few standouts like Son and Walker.

I like him and I like the extra option he gives us. Only thing I do question is the £30m spending on a player who as of now looks more like a handy squad player. I would love for him to become more than that. I mean it's not often that a team spends £30m on a player to only really have him on the bench when you pick a starting 11 from a fully fit team.

Really? Who else picks up the ball and carries it forward shaking off challenges, powers towards the byline and puts crosses into the box?
We created 31 chances yesterday many of them came from Son on the left and Sissoko on the right getting to the line rather than reaching the 18 yard line and cutting in, not something I have ever seen Eriksen or Lamela doing.
I'm not saying he's better than them just that he's different.
I appreciate that is your view but it does surprise me.

I think he is a very good addition and offers something different with his power and pace. He got more confident as the game went on and am confident he will do well for us...

I personally thought he offered something yesterday that no one else in our squad can (unless we play Dembele out of position). Pace and power as a wide-forward. He's a stronger, quicker upgrade on Chadli.

Actually don't think he was THAT good vs Sunderland - still a 7 rating. Was decent. Made some good runs, protected the ball well - but that was about it. Think his best position is CM - and i also think he will never play there for Spurs, which is sad.

Was a decent full debut yesterday with some promising signs. Needs time to get used to playing for us and for Poch to work his magic on the training pitch. He may not be a total world beater but he should be very effective for us.

Seems a strange signing when you compare him to Townsend. They are both quick and direct. They both have questionable end product but I'd say Townsend was more of a goal threat in spite of his 'row Z' tag. Sissoko probably better at tracking back (not difficult compared to Townsend) and has a great engine for 90 mins. But then you chuck in the relative transfer fees and I'm utterly confused.

Thought he played as expected. Lots of energy and very direct but not much in the way of football ability above the norm. Passing is pretty basic, doesn't have much in the way of trickery. Also showed an obvious lack of goalscoring instinct a couple of times when Son faced the ball across the 6 yard box and a player in Sissoko's position should've been coming in at the far post for a tap in, but was standing still outside the box.

However he does have attributes the squad is lacking in his powerful running. Obviously woefully overpriced and shouldn't be judged as a £30M player as his fee is only a result of the market and how late we left it.

Completely agree. His feet move really fast, but somehow he doesn't move as quickly as his gait would suggest.

I thought Sissoko was good yesterday. Not great, but good. He obviously likes stretching his legs and being direct, but there were a few times when he was involved in a bit of nice interplay in tight spaces along the line.

He brings us a different option, without a doubt. £30 million is a lot of money, but I'm not going to focus on that/hold that against him given the inflated prices that most clubs are paying for players right now.

Something about him that makes me think he will turn out to be very very good for us. I'm delighted we have someone of his ability in the squad. Very different to what we have. His built like a bull but has superb pace once running with the ball and actually good awareness with his passing ability.

I feel at white hart lane where the pitch is quite narrow and not that spacious it will be difficult for him to play to his best ability because technically he is not the sharpest. On away games i feel he will be most dangerous where he has space and will make him exploit the areas he can attack.

But I'm sure within time and under poch he will get better and intergrate his game to how we play. Overall I was impressed with him but definetly needs to get more involved with the play. Having said that Son on the left was having a blinder and it was obvious we wanted to play through the left more due to this against Sunderland

I'm happy with this signing and not really thinking of the price we bought him for. Simply about what he can add and what he does add is what we definetly need in this squad.
