I think this page sums up what the press has us down as. We claim that we need winners in the team, people who will stop at nothing to get us the win. So for example when one of our players takes responsibility for a loss due to a glaring miss regardless of the other fuck Ups from his team mates I find it staggering that there are so many soft posts defending him and basically telling him that it’s ok.

Comments like he’s not on the pitch to score goals, he’s not that type of player etc are finding excuses on his behalf. He’s a £30m player on £100k a week, so he should be that type of player that is able to compose himself and score when it’s harder to miss.

I wish more players would take responsibility like this, I’ve been wide awake since 4am stewing over his miss and replaying it over and over in my head as I know that I now have the day from hell to come with my work colleagues giving it large. Stop making excuses for these players who neee very little encouragement to take them and cuddle in to the bossom of the “you tried you best that’s all you can do” mother figures.

It's just so frustrating, because he's been in these types of situations a few times before this season, and even though you just know that the best outcome you can realistically hope for is that he doesn't lose the ball and we get done on the counter, I still tend to get my hopes up.

Then he shoots. Or passes. And fucks it up.

It's not his fault that we lost the match mate.

Not entirely no but a big reason for it was his miss. That right there is a winning mentality, take responsibility for the things that you didn’t do well and use that as motivation to make sure that the next time you’re in that position that the outcome is a positive one.

This team in particular has been given sympathy and excuses for their failings yet the same people scream about the need for a ruthless streak. You can’t have it both ways Dan.

Agreed. No one else should blame him for it, but he should blame himself. That will give him motivation to better himself. If he shrugged it off and said "I'm not on the pitch to score anyway", well...

Not really...you can point to other moments why we lost the match, Hugo's error, Trippier error, Eriksen miss, our initial formation etc...

The entire point is that if you just solely look at moments then you're looking at it wrong. Sissoko is a big reason why we stayed in the match, he was one of our best players throughout the match - the chance that he missed look where he ran from, his running created that chance.

So blaming the loss on himself is ridiculous, football is a team game - win as a team and lose as a team.

Love the guy for his turn around, but its worrying how I and I assume many others just knew he wouldn't score that chance

Becoming a cult player

Supporting Spurs since ‘81, I’ve NEVER seen a player turn it around like our Moussa

Remember what he was like ? Was a joke player.

And what has suprised me above all is his attitude.

Legend.

Would have been fucked without him this season.

He's playing better than he did in the Euros.

He reminds me of Yaya Toure, but without the technical quality in the final third, which is no shame!

Reiterate what’s just been said so many times this season but I’ll never fail to be surprised by his turnaround.

If only he could scuff his shots along the ground instead of into a neighbouring solar system and he’d pick up a few goals.

He is immense. If we had an incisive passer beside him it would be perfect. I love winks and he is amazing at what he does but he doesn't make enough incisive forward passes for me.

He was brilliant tonight. Can’t believe the transformation we’ve witnessed this season. He’s now dominating games against the competition favourites in the quarter finals of the CL.

If he was playing for Leicester I’d be demanding a drugs test.

Think we should still demand that drug test, The man is a pure Ox. :ROFLMAO:
