Also… peak Maddison or peak Eriksen?

Id still just about go Eriksen but if Maddison keeps this up I’d start to think about choosing him.

Definitely my favourite Spurs player right now, we’ve missed a player like him, he’s everything a Spurs player should be, also his attitude and confidence are top class, will have lifted the dressing room and fans.
Maddison is a better player imo. Eriksen the better engine. I think Maddison will end up with more goal involvements per game than Eriksen also.

Maddison isn't at his peak yet. Give it another couple of seasons.

Peak Eriksen passed with laser guidance... those bent diagonals, right onto Dele's toe... he remains one of my all time favourites. Maddison shows every sign of being better all round though, long term.

I loved Eriksen but and its a big but, Maddison can dribble and beat a man.

Long way to go before he reaches the immense joy Eriksen gave me mind. Absolutely brilliant in his prime.

He's more how I expected Lo Celso to be when we signed him. They are more dribblers than Eriksen was. I think Eriksen was a bit more like Kane of the last 2 years. Drop off and take a touch, then get his head up to pick a pass. They like to see the picture ahead. Maddison and Lo Celso will run with it a bit more first, try to beat a man or two and then look for a pass at the end. Sort of what we would have got with Grealish as well albeit he plays wider and maybe more what we get from Kulusevski. I tend to enjoy seeing a player take on the opposition that extra bit more. He's certainly an edge on seat player who makes you anticipate something is going to happen.

Eriksen has the better passing range. In front of goal I can't say right now because I've not seen enough of Maddison in the penalty box. Eriksen was a very clever finisher, but the goal from Maddison on Monday was very well taken.

If he smacks a 20 yarder in against chavski then he's on his way.

A bit OT, but I don't get the booing of Willian still. He's been a quality player, and yes he shafted us a bit, but Eriksen, not Willian, was the player that team needed at that time. As far as I am concerned Willian did us a favor.

Eriksen not signing a new contract during the peak Poch era and leaving for a nonsense fee with 6 months left of his contract didn't really sit right with me.

Maddison and Eriksen are quite similar in terms of level, but Maddison knocks it out of the park when it comes to personality, vibes and leadership.

Jeez we’ve had some good players over the years. We are lucky.

If Madison is in a team that wins something…anything, he’ll be well regarded. But as of yet, he’s a bit to prove.

Some of our midfield maestros over the years have been generational talents, Modric, Gazza, Hoddle and maybe Eriksen in that group, have been an absolute joy to watch. Their vision and touch has been breath taking.

Madison has made a good start.

I think it was Lamela we ended up signing instead of Willian, Eriksen was signed anyway. But still... fuck him the Chelsea ****.

Maddison is just the full package

- He makes a team tick at his pace
- He can pass
- He can assist
- He can score
- He can make clever runs
- He can press
- He can lead
- He can talk to the press

Qualities every team is desperately looking for and struggle to find that even splitted over several players.

Top 5 transfer in the last 20 years for me.

Ignoring the fact he didn't sign for us he's played for both Chelsea and Arsenal. Of course he's going to get booed.

It's who he played for, nothing else.

Yeah and it’s the fact he can do it all over the pitch whether it’s coming deep to beat the press and get us moving or it’s threading a ball through just outside the box or beating a man on the wing.

Love him so much. Always rated him as a player (one of those who you love to hate), but his enthusiasm for the club after only being here for a matter of months is really endearing. So exciting that he will be with us for the peak of his career.

Have you been living under a rock?

He signed for Chelsea (after all but signing for us. Wasn’t there talk that he changed his mind on which club to sign for after Levy had paid for his flights?) and then signed for Arsenal.

He was always going to be boo’d!

For your own sanity, you might want to avoid pressing play on this one (as always with our official channel, you’ll have to really go out of your way to watch this, but don’t say I didn’t warn you).

I’m posting this more as a red button “do not press” type of test.
