I know Maddison is great on the ball - can dribble and can find a killer pass

But what I didnt realise is how good he is off ball .

I dont think we ever saw this at Leicester. He was never the pressing midfielder.

He is pressing like a mad man for Ange. Sooner or later , we need a proper back up to him.- I doubt he can last 70min let alone 90min every game

I can see why rival fans are annoyed by him. I can see why I used to think he was a tit. But he's just a proper, normal lad, isn't he? Loves playing with the ball at his feet, trying to bring everything together, which is reflected in his personality of just always being upbeat... Ready with a quick joke and grin, cutting through the bullshit and disarming everyone.

He is fast becoming my favourite Spur since Van Der Vaart. Someone who just suits this club, the fanbase, and just gets it.

You could hear Alan Smith saying through gritted teeth how maddison is a perfect spurs player. Must hate doing co Comms on our games at the moment. I always hate listening to him, but really enjoying him at the moment as he can't criticise us about much.

I never find him too bad. He’s one of the few co-commentators who seem to actually take their job seriously and learn about the teams/players he’s commenting on.

Smith is an ex Leicester City player.

His personality and extent of his ability has most definitely surprised me (in a positive way).

Definitely underestimated him.

I think it's from him doing FIFA games over the years. Had my fill of him from those

Also… peak Maddison or peak Eriksen?

Id still just about go Eriksen but if Maddison keeps this up I’d start to think about choosing him.

Definitely my favourite Spurs player right now, we’ve missed a player like him, he’s everything a Spurs player should be, also his attitude and confidence are top class, will have lifted the dressing room and fans.

Maddison is probably a better dribbler and breaking the lines, Eriksen is a better metronome and key passer. Eriksen couldn’t dribble like Maddison can. In fact he rarely did despite doing so when he was younger.

Eriksen better long passer and shooting from distance.
Maddison better dribbler and through balls/short passing
