I can't be arsed to argue the toss any more
What I will say is some of the 'errors' attributed to him are hilarious. Some are quite rightly laid at his feet but what usually happens when a scapegoat is selected is that standards are set impossibly high for them to allow for the ritual sacrificing at the altar. The slightest thing that can be seized upon, will be. It's laughable.
As for the stats game. Sky Sports last week produced one that suggested he'd made one error leading directly to a goal. The Liverpool one.
But on here? There's a list. A whole list, a catalogue of errors each leading to a goal. He's made "many, many" errors. It has to be perfection now. Its fucking laughable it really truly, cross my heart and dangle my old chap into a bowl of porridge is.
And there's me saying I can't be arsed to argue the toss
I could sit here and list the errors, but I don't have the energy for this argument anymore. I admire the loyality of those who still think he's great, I hope he proves you right because he was one of my favourite players 3 years ago and we need him to be great for the rest of the season.
