I think Vic did not run the entire length of the pitch. Presumably he's quite high up the pitch, so probably 2/3 of it. But yes, he's still quite fast 😅

At half time in the Brentford game, folk on here had declared him shite and were demanding Lloris be reinstated.

Absolute clowns.
You making that all up..... can you perhaps show us these quotes.

I was..... together with a few others apprehensive if that's the word to use. But I didn't see 1 person call him shit. I recall saying he gave me Gomes vibes....but since then those initial fears were allayed.

It's crazy that people can be over the top in praising or assessing a new player but heaven forbid if you balance that with some aspects of a players game which isn't as favorable.

E.g I watched Bissouma last year and I didn't see all the fuss based on the excitement when we signed him... but this season he is different gravy... or Porro who I thought was rather calamitous but has settled better of late.

Supporters will always have inputs on new players.... it's called being a fan and having a view.

From what i can see, he gives me Lloris vibes, but the good Lloris vibes when we 1st signed him.
Great reflexes, calmer playing out from the back though.
Plus has Lloris ever run out like that after a Spurs late winner lol?
I for one was doubtful with this signing, but am already won over with his skills and passion for the club.

Yes, he did, when we won over Leicester, the record we broke with this latest win.

At 46 second in of the video, is the widest video so far captured of him running down the pitch lol 😂

Edit: @Hercules , surely this doesn't warrant an off topic in responding to some requests to wanna see him celebrating? 😉

Finally we have a keeper that remains upright and doesn't sell himself by diving when shots comes in from acute angles

Like this guy a lot. It is always a new era when you have a new number one. He looks a reliable shot stopper, comfortable receiving the ball under pressure and picking passes and handled crosses and corners well in my view.

Hugo in his prime was capable of spectacular saves and perhaps Vicario won't hit that level. But I don't feel there's a big mistake in him unlike latter day Hugo.

Loved his reaction to a couple of our early errors leading to shots, no screaming and pointing, just smiles and taps his chest like don’t worry, you’ve got a wall behind you, just play football. Has an arm around Romero after the own goal as well not letting him deflate and get in his own head. Great keeper, fantastic character. I love him 😍

Ultimately on todays performance can’t be any regrets that we signed him over Raya regardless of any differences in price
