I think it's more that they aren't scarred by failure. Lloris, Kane etc have got so used to it, that it doesn't bother them anymore. These fellas aren't used to it and don't want it experience it.

Mate, 'winning me over' implies you had written him off after a couple of friendlies and one PL game in which he didn't actually do anything wrong other than look a tad nervous. What exactly were you looking for?
