Yeah obviously it is all logical, but FPs/gabbiadinis strike rate on players has been insanely good so I hope they do listen.
Very unlikely. They will have their own ideas and connections and will almost certainly have their own players in mind.

I do wonder though whether they could have kept it up or if they had a golden period. Its like these players from Serie A we've had so much joy with the last few years. Is it just a period of success though or would they still keep coming good from there? How often does a dof do well over a long period? Just wondering if it's one of those where there's a certain shelf life to success rate with recruitment. So maybe change every few years is necessary to cast a fresh net over new talent.

He is, but......... Now that there are multiple bods now placed in the THFC player identification chain of command his influence is far less than it was during the Summer. Why is Munn going to go with FP's choices when he now has his own people(that he has recommended and brought in) now in place?
I'd imagine if their data matches with a player Fabio recommends they'd maybe use his contacts to try and explore a deal and pay him for the consultancy?

And if it doesn't?

Whatever happens the fact is we have a completely different set of people making the decisions to those that have been very successful over the last 3 years.

It's a good point this. Playing trading is absolutely fundamental.

It's been unusually brilliant for a short period now. It's a shame some of those individuals are no longer here. I'd have moved heaven and earth to keep it personally

Great keeper , my only issue is I wish he’d come out for crosses more , especially with the 2 centre backs missing . Very similar to Hugo in that regard .

Excellent point. He should have come for the ball for their first goal. It was so evident to us behind the goal.

I don't think you can pin any blame on him for the goal. The only mistake he made was the one which hit the post and rolled back to him which he could have dealt with better initially. I'm glad he got the bit of luck there as he's been so good for us this season.

I read a post earlier about Onana that too much emphasis is put on keepers being able to play out from the back as opposed to actually performing the basic duties of a keeper. I think it’s so true and it stemmed from Peps handling of Hart.
Very rare these days that you even see keepers come out for corners, whether it be with a claim or a punch away, it’s almost like it’s been coached out of them not to go for corners/crosses, just like having a man inside the front post which drives me mad!

Onana’s problem is not his ability in goal it’s the problem that United do have a competent defence in front of him that can take the ball from him. His confidence is shot to bits atm. De Gea was a far better fit for the squad United have.
