He is conspicuously absent from all of the Getty images pics over the past few days...
I don't think he has a serious injury as was rumoured but I get the feeling he might be training separately and is unlikely to feature in the warm up friendlies or the Man Utd game.
Really hope I'm wrong though.

Doesn't seem like he featured in the friendly at all yesterday. I'd be very surprised if he's involved in the Utd game now but hopefully he'll be back soon cos we're really going to need him in this run in.

With the extra sub spaces, I'm sure he will be on the bench if he isn't fit enough to start.
The Norwich game was probably just too soon for him as he is only just back training.

Typical how he's turned into one of our most influential players and after not playing for 3 months now isn't going to be fit for the first game by the looks of things.

There was a photo taken of the match in which someone identified our starting 11 and he didn't feature (midfield was Winks, Skipp and Ndombele) and is nowhere to be seen in any of the match pics on here:

Then the club website named some of the other players that came on for the 2nd half (Son, Sissoko, etc) and he wasn't mentioned either.
Add in the fact that he's barely been in any training pics recently (no ball work pics) and it's safe to say he's unlikely to start. Hopefully on the bench at least though.

I guess what you mean is that they don't want to face any more backlash from our near constant injuries? Holding out for hope for a quick recovery?
