This makes me want to cry! It will be Sissoko and Winks in CM. Sissoko doing his thing where he end up playing RM and Winks holding against Bruno and Pogba!
Gutted about Lo Celso but have a sneaky feeling Jose will start Winks and Skipp in a two - that was the midfield he started with against Norwich in the friendly. Better than Winks and Sissoko IMO.

Fucking great. Everyone finally back but the one player most capable of knitting all the play together becomes unavailable.

FFS. Hopefully not missing for long, seeing as he's doing some sort of outdoor stuff.

Season hasn’t even started & we’re already picking up suspensions & injuries, more will follow when a ball is actually kicked ?

Still havent seen him in any training videos running
Haven't seen any of him in a wheelchair, or on a stretcher
or with a plaster cast up to his thigh either.
Plenty of time though before late KO on Friday.

Always look on the bright side of life.....

Ndombele is extremely creative.
So is Bergwijn if we can get the ball to him. The problem is Lo Celso is our best player at retaining possession, breaking from deep and actually getting the ball to our front men. One of our biggest problems under Mourinho has been actually getting the ball to our forwards.

At least having Kane and Son back should help in that department - no more blind lumps up to Lucas.

Yeah but not really around the penalty area. He's a deep lying CM. I guess we can try him further up but it's clearly not his position. We are going to be almost totally without creativity without GLC (and Dele).

If he hasn't been involved in full training then no way will he play on Friday.
Maybe in the old reality, but Jose could easily ask him for 45 mins, sub him at halftime and lose nothing with the new rules. Looking at the games last night, the pace was pedestrian and it was quality that made the difference.

Maybe but given the number of injuries yesterday and in the Bundesliga restart, is he seriously going to risk Lo Celso by playing him when he isn't fit?

If he's really not ready surely it's wiser to not play him for these first 2 games and bring him in against Sheffield Utd in 2 weeks when he's up to speed.

Better to have a fit Lo Celso for 7 games than risking a crocked Lo Celso for maybe 9 but potentially 0.

Really depends what his injury was, if he’s fully recovered, and is he just lacking sharpness. Honestly, the pace of the games last night were like training ones so 45 mins in his legs would do him the world of good.

Quotes from the presser:

"Yes. I can confirm that [he is a player struggling for fitness]. Gio, I consider to be one of the victims of the rules and one of the victims of the protocols, because he was injured in the end of the period before the coronvirus situation.

He was in very bad conditions in the last three or four matches. He didn't play against Burnley, he played for 10 minutes and then we tried to have him ready for Leipzig but he wasn't even ready for Leipzig.

Because of the rules his injury is not an injury in need for surgery but needed treatment and daily treatment, needed close contact with physios and fitness coaches working with him but that was not possible. For about two months he was injured and he couldn't recover from it.

So when the training ground opened and he started to have treatment, it was not enough to have him 100 per cent. So I'd say only in the past days he's been training with the team.

Available for tomorrow, yes I think so. Tomorrow morning we will test if he is going to play 90 minutes. Is he going to start the game, I don't know but a difficult process for him."

Fairly promising tbf.
