So do I. Eriksen is a fantastic player but there are better players who offer more.

I don't think better is the right word, I mean for example, I'd argue that there is almost nobody in football with the passing ability of Eriksen who also consistently tops the running stats of their entire league.

I think however maybe we want to switch styles, Lo Celso doesn't need to have similar skills to Eriksen, maybe we want our main passing fulcrum to be deeper and we want somebody infront who offers dribbling, shooting but also can drop deep and defend well making it a 3 when we don't have the ball.

I'd say the idea of having a designated DM, a designated box to box and a designated 10 who is the playmaker are disappearing.
