That's probably because whenever we've sold our deadwood to PL teams in the past they've been relegated. Teams think our players are cursed.

Yedlin / Townsend - Newcastle
Carroll - Swansea
Dawson / Hudd / Livermore / Mason - Hull
Kaboul - Sunderland

There are probably more examples.

Sell him to West Ham or the Gooners then.

The anticipation we had of this guy when he arrived.
Was there any really?

He looked like a punt on a pacey winger with scoring and that's what he ended up being. Just in this case ended up being a punt well short.

Average PL teams seem to have more money to burn that ever and yet we can only seem to find buyers for our players from the most random places. Never straight forward for Spurs!
That's because average PL teams have more money to burn than ever. They can afford a higher quality of player from Europe without having to gamble on our castoffs that have shown not to be good enough to play at this level.

Never saw enough of him to form much of an opinion. Others obviously saw a load more than I did and concluded that he's crap. Must have watched a lot of training sessions I guess.

Imo yes. We all knew he were signing because of the SoMe pictures of him at our training ground before it was announced. People saying he was good etc

He looked terrible from the videos that got posted of him on here before he joined. I said so at the time but quite a few people disagreed and couldn’t see it.

I can't remember what I said about GKN and even if I did I doubt if anyone would care :meh:.

To be honest, GKN’s Spurs career from rumour through to signing and then playing for us will be remembered mostly for being stuck in a Travelodge for a month .

Weird isn't it. Liverpool have managed to sell worse players and crocked players for £10m to £20m in the current market.

The best thing about GKN was the Spurs social media unveiling. Class. Been mostly downhill from there though ;) Hope he finds a new home and gets a fresh start.

Wont lie the squad news has made me concerned we are repeating last season.

Cant shift nkoudou and rose
Wanyama knee troubles cant take part in pre-season

Im losing a bit of faith in much business being done if I'm honest, still time to go and no reason to have a meltdown yet though.
