Thing is he is stil young enough that under Conte he will improve even further. Improve his crossing and we have a very solid RWB. I like him. Just watch his video with Lucas playing FIFA v a couple of fans. He loves it.

Decent is exactly how I would describe him as a player. Not outstanding and could be improved upon but he doesn't let us down.

He really does let us down, and has done on numerous occasions. He's certainly done better in the last couple of games, but let's not kid ourselves that he suddenly doesn't require upgrading.

Thought he was extremely important today. We have lamented our scouting not doing due diligence on players character but this man clearly has it in abundance. I don't think he's the right fit for us but I think he can leave with his head held high in terms of contribution despite being asked to do something which clearly is not ideal for his abilities.

Is it just me or does he seem to be doing drifting inside more and spending less time on the wing? That quick aggressive short passing style suits his game better, maybe Conte’s given up on relying on him to cross.

Yeah, I've always liked him, but he had a bad period. Good defender. Needs to improve his crossing.

That effort from range was so unlucky, not sure if it would have gone under the bar but a great shot
He's making it difficult to determine who to sell between himself and Doherty. I hope he's fit for the final game.

I’d Still keep Doherty over royal, Doherty gives us so much more attacking wise

It kind of makes me think we should sell Sanchez and turn Emerson into a right centre back. He's more comfortable on the ball than Sanchez and you can see teams let Sanchez come out with the ball. Emerson I feel can make some of those Davies runs inside and is a solid defender.

It’s his involvement and improvement in the build up phase that has really impressed me. Secure, smart, and progressive whenever he can. That’s a big part of how successful he can be with Conte’s precise automations. Well done all around I thought from him.

He seems to be quite an awkward guy to go up against as physically he has some very useful attributes. Has good strength, a good engine and is quite determined. Think he is pretty handy in the air as well. Yes not got express pace but no slouch either

After losing Doherty, feared the worst having to rely on Emerson and the Brighton and Brentford games seemed to be proving those fears right however to be fair to him he has come back well.

It's a shame his game in the final 3rd lets him down. Don't know if he stays or goes in the summer but I think he may well have a fair bit of interest in him as think he can certainly do a job for a lot of teams.

He also had Lucas in front of him who was tactically poor and never offered an option

Defensively he is very good. Work rate wise he is great. He just doesn’t have the attacking instincts, touch or passing ability to be a WB
