I respect it. Told he wasn't good enough so used it to light a fire and play a pivotal role helping the team get promoted.
Was he told he wasn't good enough, or that he had the wrong attitude to make it?I respect it. Told he wasn't good enough so used it to light a fire and play a pivotal role helping the team get promoted.
"I basically said to him that you can go to the top or you can go non-league.'Was he told he wasn't good enough, or that he had the wrong attitude to make it?
He wasn’t told he weren’t good enough, Warnock actually said he could go to the very top but his attitude could mean he ends up non league.I respect it. Told he wasn't good enough so used it to light a fire and play a pivotal role helping the team get promoted.
Indeed. He wasn’t told he weren’t good enough, Warnock actually said he could go to the very top but his attitude could mean he ends up non league.
Djed is clearly a talented player but he has to have the brains to or it’s useless.
Agreed. If anything it shows Warnock was right. And it's not like Warnock said he wouldn't make it. Just that if would be a shame if he didn't, and could go either way. Still might.Indeed.
Warnock clarifies Djed Spence's situation while discussing younger's vast potential
Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence will have a protective face mask fitted for Saturday’s meeting with Bristol City after breaking his nose against Millwall.www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk
So is the tweet still as justified to some of you?
Maybe it's just me, and maybe it's because I'm not convinced he's good enough anyway, but this isn't the way to prove an ex manager who said you were super talented but lacking in mentallity to get to the very top wrong.
Yes, because those aren’t the comments he’s responding to from the summer before his loan?! Clearly something happened in that time.Indeed.

And the quotes he's responding to Warnock says he isn't good enough ability wise to make it?Yes, because those aren’t the comments he’s responding to from the summer before his loan?! Clearly something happened in that time.
I do think Carrasco could be an interesting idea, not sure he’d be my number one pick but as he’s done very well on left, if anyone could make him work it would be Conte. For me i could see Conte turning him into another Perisc as he clearly has the skill set. It would be a gamble tho and as I say, not an obvious one. Beyond that my number one pick is Frimpong and has been for most of the season. He’s the same age as Spence but to me looks the better prospect by some distance. Your spot on about there being no clear choice of player that is available who would easily elevate us tho and obviously if Conte really wants Spence who am I to argue.Again, there’s no Perisic or Kostic present in the RWB market. People are saying we need better, well there’s no one out there who would be less of a risk than Spence that we could realistically sign. Because for the millionth time, we’re not signing Hakimi. You’d also have to make a compelling argument for Carrasco who many want, because he has barely played RWB in his career. Please enlighten me with who people think is better, and I assure you it’s not a black and white difference between Spence and any other potential target. Either way, if we sign him, I’m confident it will be because Conte wants him, which is all that matters.
You mean the same Arnold that Sessegnon had in his pocket ?Feel like this would be buying Nathaniel Clyne when we really should be looking for our Alexander-Arnold.
My older self would do the same. Nothing beats a bit of snide. I'm not the Buddha. My younger self (and probably many of you, too) would do the same if an out of touch dinosaur publicly passed judgment on me and I felt aggrieved by it.
I think you might be taking it a wee bit too seriously. Who gives a shit really.I don't know. I get what everyone's saying re: wanting to prove a point, and having an edge to him, etc. And fine, not a huge deal. But there's something different about calling out randos on twitter/instagram over their criticism and calling out a manager who has told you some home truths (and who could have be proved to correct in doing so). If he can't handle Warnock calling him out on what he needs to do better, how will he take Conte's micro-management.
