Its almost like Honduras is trying to break Yedlins legs. Everytime he touches the ball, there going for nasty slide tackles. They are a VERY rough team and the ref is dead scared to call anything. Last week they broke Chicharito's collarbone in a friendly.

Yedlin almost just scored. Got in behind but keeper made a good save.

Gonna have to work on his finishing a bit, he should have buried that.

Ohhh great save from the Honduran keeper to deny Yedlin there...he's making great runs & getting in some good positions. Unlucky!

Yedlin is getting hammered out there, taking some brutal fouls.
And the ref is allowing it by not calling anything. It's absolutely disgusting refereeing. Najar should have been sent off already with 2 yellows but the ref hasnt even called a foul. He's such a sinister little fuck. Unreal.

There is no doubt in my mind that Yedlin is being targeted out there. Yet he continues to get up and play on after taking very rough hits. Very tough kid.

Really did not do much in the 2nd half, and gave away a dangerous free kick at the end.

Looked a bit winded. He did take quite a few shots from Honduran players. I would not be surprised to see the US rotate the squad a bit, and bring Yedlin in off the bench in the next game.

He had a few good moments including his run in behind and an extremely dangerous cross but this was the worst I'd seen him in a while. The US tried to build the attack through him early but their were some really poor passes intended for him and he kept getting battered due to a weak ref. He really slowed down as the game went on, stopped making runs and seemed to have a hard time defending. All of which is understandable considering the heat and the pounding he took early in the game. JK didn't do him any favors by leaving him on when it was obvious he was done.

Yedlin also had a really bad partnership with his RB tonight. U.S. took Chandler off at 60 minutes, as he was really out of sync. But, Yedlin should have come out also when it was clear that he was gassed. unfortunately, US had several players in that condition.

Not the first time those two have failed to work together particularly well. Hopefully it's just unfamiliarity, but it's something that needs worked out for Yedlin to progress.

US makes a lot of changes to line-up - Yedlin on bench

7 changes from the game against Honduras.
True B team. Although I love Mix, Ream and Johannsson starting. Would have benched Altidore and gone 433 with a #10. Dempsey next to Johannson on the left and cutting in, with Mix at the 10 and Morales at CM next to Bradley. Benched Zusi for Bedoya and put him at RW with Yedlin at RB over Evans. Ream at RCB and Brooks at LCB over Gonzalez who is terrible.

Mix is terrible this year. Going to a team as bad as NYCFC really screwed up his game.
