Is this game repeated on any of the UK/Sky/BT channels today ?
If you want to watch it, its on youtube. Also if you watch from 1:47:45, you can see him winning a freekick from dribbling which he was getting all game, and just after whips in a cross for an assist.

Is he a learner & improves or has he just relied on talent & pace and thought , "ah ,fuck it, I've made it"?
Definitely a willing learner. There's been a lot of improvement just in his 2 years at Sounders. He's also only been a RB for about 3-4 years.

Thanks for the info man and welcome to the forum. Do you think he has more potential than Walker? For me Walker has loads of years to improve, especially on his positioning and defending, but for a ball playing defender he's very good, just like Vertonghen and Chiriches. It's nice to see we're boosting our defence a bit now. Not sure if the Villareal defender is dead in the water now
Yeah, more potential than walker. He just turned 21 and his crossing is already better than Walker. Basically every time he took on a defender in the WC, a chance was created. He cut back brilliantly for someone against Portugal, I remember, which shows he's not just a head-down, send-it-anywhere crosser. Yedlin's favorite player is Dani Alves and I think he won't get there in terms of skill going forward and scoring goals, but he could be a more reliable defender while remaining a direct threat going forward.

So is this a loan or a pre contract? On the site, spurs dont acknowledge him as being part of the squad but on loan like they do Archer and they did not mention him in the loan watch article today yet they mentioned Grant Ward and the match. Also, how hard is it to acknowledge his existence? They cant say Ward was up against recently signed Deandre Yedlin? Ward was legitimately playing his team and up against Yedlin yet no mention of Yedlin. Par for the course though, so not surprised by it. The club's PR department is literally, to quote @THFCSPURS19, "about as useful as a condom in Vatican City." Missed opportunities is like the clubs PR team's motto at this point. Missed opportunity city. Population Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Pre contract. Can you stop bitching for like one second?

Sounders/USA fan here. Really cheap as others have noted. Pace is obviously his best attribute. Short, but strong for his size and willing to battle. Getting more comfortable on the ball - decent enough now but room to improve. Always looking to play forward. Very good crosser. Beats defenders to the end line with ease and almost always sends in a decent ball. Tons of energy. Has no problem recovering due to his pace. Not a scoring threat. Not much of a left foot. Feisty isolated defender but can get caught not following his man into the box when off the ball. Similar to walker, honestly, so I'm interested in how they will deal with them. Great kid, willing to work.

welcome (y)

It'll be interesting to see how he copes with the step-up when he arrives. He's got good potential, let's hope he fulfills it with us.

wait, who's injured? (Not that Yedlin will be able to cover that injury this year.)
He could come in January. Sounds like there is a decision to be made about that withe Spurs, Sounders and Yedlin. Or we could possibky recall him. Site lists him as being on loan.

Ah ha! Well spotted mate! Whether he is in fact our player and is being loaned back to Seattle is currently being discussed on a Wikipedia talk page, to figure out how his article should read. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:FOOTY#DeAndre_Yedlin)
We have no idea which way it is! None of the statements from either club make it clear. I've just added your find, however it could be the work of an over zealous Spurs webmaster who's edited the profiles page without actually having a clue.

Honestly, I'd assume its on loan since he's part of our first team squad on the site. But then again, does that mean the contract started now? So we are only going to have him for 3 years? Or does the contract start when he comes?

It's like I said though. It could be the work of an over zealous webmaster! It's possible.

That's what we don't know, due to some very poor reporting.

If he has signed a 3 year dwal, on our site as ours but loaned out.... then the contract has started now.

LOL, no apologies for you I'm afraid! You just guessed that was the case, you didn't have any reason to believe it was fact! You got lucky.

It just dawned on me. We are signing Deandre Yedlin!!!!!!!!!! The Deandre Yedlin who gave Jan Vertonghen(who had a very good WC, IMO) a HEAP of trouble.

Imagine if Kyle Walker did this stuff?

Yeah Im high and getting WAY too hyped. BTW, is it Saturday yet?

Not much of his defensive abilities showcased in that video.
