Lol it's a league 1/championship league. Stop that.Don't listen to YankSpurs when it comes to the MLS. It's a better league than he is willing to give credit.

Garber came no where close to owning him. Klinsmann said what everyone was thinking. Only people who side with garber are mls fanboys. Hell even alot of LD fanboys agreed with klinsmann and those people have like some sort of death wish on him they hate him so much!Klinsi should have shut his fucking mouth when it came to the MLS, Garber owned him in this scenario. Also quite a few teams have a grass pitch so relax. Leave it yo yourself to come up with fake reasons to bash the MLS. There won't be any relegation or promotion ever, you're just making things up there, no owner would ever agree to it, it's a straw man.
It's definitely on par with the Championship at least. I'm pretty sure if you put a team like QPR in the Premier League they wouldn't win the league.Lol it's a league 1/championship league. Stop that.
Uhhh, no. The mark of those leagues is the fact that their top teams are CL quality and are competitive in CL. You put Seattle or LA into UEFA CL and they will get absolutely smacked around. I am talking on a purely talent level basis. They would get absolutely destroyed by anyone in CL. Maybe they'd put up a fight against the pub like sides from eastern europe in the europa. They wouldnt put up much of a fight against anyone in the Premier League, not even Sunderland or QPR. Maybe, just maybe they would put up a fight against some of the top championship sides. If you pin Derby and Seattle against each other, Derby is going to win 6 or 7 out of 10 times. There are some players in MLS that are good enough to play in the Prem and then a select few for some CL sides, but the overall squads are far from good enough to compete. IMO, Seattle and LA would probably be mid table championship. The bottom MLS side are probably mid table league 1. Chivas USA might even be bottom league 1, but they're now defunct. Hence why I said MLS is league 1/championship.It's definitely on par with the Championship at least. I'm pretty sure if you put a team like QPR in the Premier League they wouldn't win the league.
I work in the MLS and watch most games. While it's not yet on par with the big leagues, it's even with the Eredivisie at least, gaining on Russia/Portugal, and Garber's goal is to have it as a top 5 league by 2022. While I'm not sure it will happen, it's definitely something that isn't outside of the realm of possibility if it keeps growing at its current rate.
I don't fully disagree or anything, but a Dutch side hasn't made it past the group stage of the CL in the last 7 years. That isn't too competitive. For reference that is the same number of times an MLS team has made it out of the European CL group stages and 1 fewer that Tottenham Hotspur (I didn't believe it either, but I looked it up) have over that period.Uhhh, no. Have to significantly lower your expectations to enjoy it. Fuck, there are a bunch of people in Australia attending matches to watch this ffs:
Surely we have to recall him?
I'd take him back too, but I haven't seen either much so wasn't sure who is a better option.I'm trying not to be biased because of my view of the MLS.
But due to the league he is playing in, the quality of team and his performances this season while on loan as well as the familiarity with Spurs and not needing time to adapt-I believe Ryan Fredericks would be a more immediate solution than Yedlin.
I didn't really rate Fredericks enough to think he would be good enough to challenge at Spurs but i've followed him while at Boro and he seems to have really come on as a RB,

Yedlin has the advantage of playing against Hazard and making him look like a League 1 player.
Not really. I look more at the international matches and he's been very good in all of them apparently (and was recently MOTM). The fact of the matter is that he seems willing to learn and is one of the fastest players in the world. He's already one of the best in the league. That sounds like nothing but we have to remember that players like Henry, Keane, Dempsey etc. still play there. Klinsmann loves him as well and we know he's not an idiot.I'm not sure if you're being sarcy, but I think people do have raised and unrealistic expectations because of a very small sample of performances at the WC....
Because they would and it isnt close. He's admitted to working in MLS so he's probably a bit bias. He thinks Garber was right to trash Klinsmann calling him a detriment to MLS, menawhile he's the only coach who has given alot of MLS guys a chance with the national team. The more i've watched this year (not a lot admittedly) and proven again by the first half of Sounders/LA Galaxy, i've been really disappointed with the quality of the MLS. Genuinely think that a Derby/Middlesborough etc would walk it over the course of a season.
Some MLS players can play in the prem. Yedlin is one of them who should be playing in the Prem. He's too good for MLS and it's been quite noticeable recently. He's also done very well for the US this year.I'm not sure if you're being sarcy, but I think people do have raised and unrealistic expectations because of a very small sample of performances at the WC....
Yes he is. This is effectively a loan. MLS, Seattle and the papers consider it a loan. It's not a pre contract. I wouldnt pay attention to the OS. We have a PR team that cant really get any more useless if it tried. We can't recall him, he's not on loan.
