I like the cut of his jib, let's just hope he continues his progress when he gets over here.

Everyone ignoring that it was his mistake that meant he was so far behind the ball?
Yeah, but the point is that he recovered and was able to nullify his mistake before anything happened.Everyone ignoring that it was his mistake that meant he was so far behind the ball?

It wasnt his best game by any stretch of the imagination as Andrew Wenger was skinning him alive until Wenger was subbed off. But it doesnt worry me, because he was able to keep Hazard in check vs Belgium. Also he has the pace to track anyone down and the ability to rectify his mistakes.
He doesnt let his mistakes get him down, doesn't mope. He keeps his head up, keeps on playing and tries to rectify the mistakes. He has a very good mentality, IMO. So while I wasnt impressed by his play last night(besides that absurd burst of speed), I was impressed by his attitude.
Didn't know whether this has been posted. That is some turn of pace from DeAndre
To be fair that can work both ways...I've never seen a player shut down Bale as well as Eric Lichaj did when we played Villa. Bale couldn't get a thing to happen, Lichaj beat him every time. Also just because one certain player gets the better of another it doens't mean they are bad or good some just naturally have the beating of a player. The fact that Yedlin has faced Hazard and looked competent generally at the WC says all you need. Evra has been one of the best LBs for last few seasons, and even when Lennon has been at his most ineffective he still had the beating of him. Lest we forget the best player in the world still hasn't found his way out of Bennie's pocket. Some players just know how to get the upper hand against others.
Site lists him as being on loan.
Not listed any more interestingly. He's not our player yet. I guess it was a mistake after all. http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/first-team-profiles/it could be the work of an over zealous Spurs webmaster who's edited the profiles page without actually having a clue.

Only problem with that is that it was his total miskick that led to the attack.
Spain legend compares Tottenham-bound Yedlin to former Barcelona teammate
Former Barcelona and Spain striker David Villa has compared soon-to-be Tottenham Hotspur right-back DeAndre Yedlin to his former club teammate Dani Alves.
Villa was speaking at the recent co-launch event for the new MLS logo and FIFA 15, having left Atletico Madrid this summer to join Manchester City-backed expansion side New York City FC, who are set for their inaugural season in 2015.
Currently on loan at fellow sister club Melbourne City FC, in the meantime, the 32-year-old has been using his stint in the Australian A-League to familiarising himself with the American domestic game, and has been most impressed with the Seattle Sounders and their promising US international Yedlin.
‘I’ve seen many matches,’ he said at the #MLSNext event. ‘Looking at the standings, I think this year Seattle are above the rest by a lot not only in points, but also in their play.
‘I like the player Yedlin. People noticed him at the World Cup, and he reminds me a bit of my former Barcelona teammate, Dani Alves.
‘He’s very quick and good going forward, but also strong in defence. It’s a shame he won’t be staying but I think he will do well in Europe.’
One of the top-rated talents in MLS, Yedlin’s career has seen a meteoric rise over the past 18 months, going from the college level to a two-time All-Star and World Cup standout after just one full professional season, before sealing a £2.5 million move to Tottenham this summer.
Having returned to the Sounders for the time being, it remains to be seen whether he will head over to White Hart Lane in either the winter or next summer, but the Seattle-native's immediate goal will be helping to guide his hometown side to their first-ever MLS Cup, with the team leading the regular-season standings at present.

He did make a mistake but then again, we're not signing Cafu in his prime. That mistake is nothing that you won't see from Walker or Naughton a few times over the course ofa seasonevery game anyway
