Sanchez has been great all year tbh. He is unlucky that Romero is so good, if Davies was right footed Sanchez would surely start in our team.

Still not good on the ball but defends well. I was never too worried about him right side of that 3. We did well while Romero was out and only suffered when Dier was out.

I've always liked him but I do get frustrated when we try to play out of the back and have him and Royal on that side together. It's almost cruel to keep giving it to Davinson, but I can only assume it's at the manager's instruction.

He does well as that right sided centre back in a back three, especially when Dier is next to him.

Shame he’s not the best covering the centre as well and he isn’t particularly great at all when called to cover the left side.

This will sound very negative but I think he had a comfortable game because they were down to 10 men.

Felt a bit for him early doors when he took a bit of stick for not making a pass out a few times but I was stood right behind him and there was acres of space ahead of him that none of our players took advantage of for him to make the pass. He put in a good shift all game.

Never worried when he plays in back 3 unless it's on the left side. We lose out on Romero's passing but PEH was dropping deeper to help out. His best games were against Arsenal, pocketed Aubameyang once or twice in the past. Doesn't complain if he doesn't start either (maybe he would improve if he had more ambition).

Defensively he did well but having seen Romero there for last few months you get to appreciate the gulf between the two when they have the ball at feet. He doesn't have the ability / confidence to run forward with the ball or try any pass that is more than 10 yards. You can see why Jose left him alone in the EL final.
He will make a solid starting CB somewhere but it won't be with us.

Himself and Emerson on the same side is so limiting going forward and arsenal tried to target it but just like Emerson they both did well defensively.

There was only one moment when Martinelli got away from him, but other than that he didn't put a foot wrong. Hopefully he gets a good move in the Summer and we get a good price to put towards a LCB. Well done Dav!

My main concern is Sanchez and Royal on the same side when we are in possession. Both not very good on the ball and it hampers our plan to play form the back. To be fair to Royal he has been good the last two games, and Sanchez recovered from a shaky start last night to also play well.

Away at Chelsea back in January, with Tanganga, Sanchez and Davies as our back 3, and Royal at RWB, we were really, really bad. Romero, Dier and Doherty are just so much better suited to Conte's footballing 3-4-3 system.

Yeah I think it was frustration with the team more then him personally. But I think we did that really well last night (the passing around at the back.) Even in the early stages of the game where they had 11 men and were pressing like mad. I think Conte has us well drilled in calmly passing out of a press, we were even good with that against Liverpool at times too.

He did really well. Can’t ping a pass like Romero and we struggled with that in the first half but then Conte must have had a word with him to try it as his ball into Kane set up the first goal. Happy for him.

All that fretting about Romero being out but Sanchez did very very well. Good performance from him.
Agree. I liked the way he kept it simple. Not taking chances with difficult passes, just stroking it about and making Arsenal run around. Great.

Yep. When they were 11 men he was very shaky when pressed. Once down to 10 men there was no pressure on the ball and he was then very good defensively with his pace and aggression in the tackle.
