Seems like a good loan. Looking at their setup, believe they prefer 2 striker setups. Oluwayemi is there so presumably he'll have someone to acclimatize with. League One, so a good introduction to senior football. Lot to like here. Kind of middle-of-the-pack when it came to possession and attacking threat last year. Could be a pretty good situation for Dane.

My mrs is Nicky cowleys mother in law so I follow Nicky and Danny’s career from concord and Braintree then Lincoln and Huddersfield , this is great news but do the guys who watch Dane play do you think he’s ready for league one

I guess only time will tell but he certainly needed a loan this season and I wouldn't really want it lower than league 1.

For too long we've let our youth prospects stagnate on the bench and around the first team training when what they really needed was proper, competitive football.

I'd personally say League One is the right division for him at the moment.

I'd say Championship is a step too far, I don't think he'd be able to handle that level and I think League Two wouldn't be the required level for him, so I'm happy he's gone to a good league one team.

Destined for his first loan away from his parent club THFC, Academy prodigy Dane heads to the South Coast to Portsmouth and Division One baptism.

Cowleys play pressing football....

And have good track record of developing PL level youngsters....Gavin Bazunu, Emile Smith Rowe, Trevoh Chalobah all developed under them.

So all this points to a very good loan move for Scarlett. I hope he has largely injury free season, where he learns & develops his game and physique

Really hope he can make the most of the opportunity here. He obviously has a lot of admirers at Spurs so would be great to show that it's deserved.

Great loan. Fratton Park is at the top of my road so will hopefully take my kids at some point next season to see him in action.
