Still work to do, but Romero, Tomiyasu and hopefully another decent CB and that really transforms the CB group from a position with more questions than answers into a real strength within our squad. Just got to hope we wrap the first two up.

Having a top CB has a bigger impact for teams wanting to win titles than top strikers is all i'm saying.

Nice. Would be great to get this one done.

You’d have thought the fact that the replacement is apparently coming from Juve would have helped grease the skids for the dominoes to fall, but maybe simply the rags making noise while all the finer details get worked out between 3 clubs and 2 players.

if we get there in the end in next day or two we won’t care how we got there.

Would mean they make no profit at all. They are literally swapping Romero for Demiral
Not sure how you worked that out.

Atalanta currently own neither Romero, nor Demiral.
1) they spend €16m on Romero
2) they sell Romero for €50m
3) they buy Demiral for €35m

Effectively, they're adding Demiral to their squad at zero expense.

Plus a huge immediate accounting gain. They make 35M profit right now. The 35M they ultimately pay to Juve will ultimately be like 7M/year and won’t start until after next season.

Passed it on behind the scenes first thing this morning but was told again that everything was agreed with Romero.

As soon as Demiral is agreed, this will move very quickly.

I'm also still incredibly confident that Tomiyasu will join us following the conclusion of the Olympics. A deal has been agreed in principle for weeks.

I've had no info on the Kane situation unfortunately.

Rounding up in here as I don't want to derail the ITK thread today.

Cheers dude. Seems Demiral is moving too!

romero is close now we expect it to happen next 48-72 hours

we bid for Vlahovic early summer but will go back now , we also enquired re Ings but saints still unrealistic

levy will dig heels in on Kane but view is need vlahovic as city may stump up the 150 plus for Kane or Kane may well go next summer

Di Marzio now reporting that Sassuolo are awaiting a new offer from Juventus for Locatelli and that the player very much wants the move to happen. So that would be the circle I mentioned earlier in here complete. Nice to have a foot in the Juve camp with Fabio around ;)

Cheers mate, been great to have your perspective in here. Ever since you let on that Juve were extra keen to get this deal done, I’ve been confident the delays were down to squeezing them on Demiral. Looks like this one might end with all parties pretty happy, even if Atalanta have been a bit annoying to deal with…
