Obviously depends on who the manager is come the summer, but I’d be very surprised if we bought him.

I mean, he's not been terrible but he's not the type of lcb we all want, or need.
If he's cheap, say 10m, then it's not a bad deal but depending on our finances, surely there's better out there to be had?

Yeah, as far as it goes as a hasty stop gap loan for a position we need to fill long term he's been OK. I was hoping for more on the ball playing front, but defensively he's at least not prone to regular and inexplicable mistakes, even if he is a bit slow and not overly proactive.

As cover for CB and LCB? Maybe, but he'd have to take a hefty wage cut and the deal would have to be really loaded for us.

I just don't see him as a massive upgrade on Davies. I don't think Davies is necessarily at the right level either so pretty underwhelming.

Agree, but you keep Davies as we already have him and is home grown, association trained. Then look to bring in a better player to start at LCB.

He's not shown enough to warrant a purchase.

Agreed. If he was five years younger and not on big wages then I'd think about it giving him another go but even with the rest of our defence being as bad as it has been this season he's still not managed to hold down a starting spot.

Not against buying Lenglet. He’s not one of the reasons why we can’t defend. Both him and Davies are solid, but not spectacular.

I think we’ll improve our defence for free if the coaches tell Perisic to stop lunging in, and if they remind Dier to show defenders on to their weaker foot.

The last thing we need is more squad players and thats all he is at best. We need to start buying 1st team players, good enough to start and improve on what we already have and that means improving on likes of Lenglet, Dier, Davies and Sanchez.

Typical Tottenham stopgap pointless signing really, loaned to save us money and doesn't add anything to the team and just makes the squad bigger
Would be amazed if we signed him on a permanent

Why are you not against us signing another solid player when we already have one in his position? This is exactly the kind of signing we don't need to clutter the squad with

If it's a case of signing him permanently and selling Davies or letting him return to Barca and keeping Davies I'm going with the latter option all day long. That's not just based on Sunday, I generally feel more confident with Davies than with Lenglet at LCB.
