What seems like a sad and sour end to his Spurs career, his performances of late are unforgivable, Modric will always be remembered fondly because despite leaving for Madrid he never let his performances slip, same can go to Walker, sadly not of Eriksen, he needs to take a long look in the mirror and try to at least feign enthusiasm until January.

And this might be the reason why the really big clubs do not want him. They all knew he was avaliable this summer for a reasonable price, but no one came for him.

We can't play him again. He doesn't want to be there and we don't want him here.

This is where players like Lloris and Kane need to step up and force the club to act on Eriksen and isolate him from the playing group.

Very true, let him rot with the reserves

Fak him right off! And STOP licking his arse, as if he has offered anything 90% of the time. Hype can be tripe. And he is playing shyte!

He has a weak mind. No strength inside. Ok so he wanted to leave and was reasonable with his honesty about it I have no doubt.
In Madrid, the city of his love,he couldn't muster anything at all and since it's gone from bad to worse.
He has an escape route, fine, but show us,the fans something.Show his current team something. No he cant.
He has dug an emotional hole.

It does takes some balls to step up for another penalty, I'll give him that. Think he's missed 4 out of the 5 last I've seen him take.

I don't think I've seen a player still at the club go from hero to zero this quickly.

I try to stay away from hyperbole but what Eriksen has been playing at these last six to nine months, and the last month in particular, is absolutely dreadful and he should realise it is beneath any professional footballer to appear to down tools in this fashion.

Without Dele and Eriksen on form
we are nothing I'm afraid.

Apart from Winks
our midfielders are all Winnie the Pooh's.

I quote from A A Milne
“When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.”

The fact he has openly said he wants a new challenge is probably what 80% of what the squad feels, but he's the only one in a position that it doesn't matter if he pisses anyone off. He's leaving next summer and the club can do f all about it.

We should have sold him at a discount in the summer when it became clear he wasn't signing a new contract. Now we have the worst of both world: a player who has downed tools and will leave on a free next year.

It was abundantly clear that he wasn't going anywhere this summer and happy to sit on his contract so he has the power in his hands next summer.

I couldn't believe people genuinely thought he'd do us a favour and sign a new deal, he'd have been mad to given his desires.

You guys are pathetic, I hope you realise that soon

Nah - you're wrong pal. So are the two (surprisingly) Danish posters who agree with your little outburst. We pay this guy 100k a week or whatever, and he can't be bothered to even run anymore. He's downed tools, just because his dream club didn't want him.

He thinks he's bigger than us and he's sorely mistaken. He now actively wants to fuck us over and leave for free and this year he's going to put in the minimum effort because his childish little fantasy career plan hasn't gone quite as he expected. We have had, do have and will have better players than him - if he thinks he's above putting the effort in for us, he can get fucked.

He's missed two penalties out of 10 for Denmark - I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he's missed every single penalty for us? I can't wait for Lo Celso to take his place. As it stands, Lamela should absolutely be first choice for the no10 position.

The only thing thats pathetic is the clubs attitude to this entire situation. Should have sold him below market value or stuck him in the reserves. This attitude clearly impacts the rest of the team.

The only thing “pathetic” has been CE’s performances for the past 9months. In the 2 biggest games of our history and his club level history (3 if we say 2 SFinals) he was nowhere to be seen. Hardly a come and get me display to Barca and Madrid. His corners are beyond laughable yet somehow Poch continues to have him take them. Granted CE was great when he first came but he hasn’t even been GOOD for a while now let alone great. We can’t afford to trade off former glories, he wants out and couldn’t show it any clearer. Time to bench him

I honestly dont know why some people rate him so highly, hes a good player but when all the talk was of him going to RM i was asking then why they would want him. I dont want any of our top players to go but with CE we are at the stage where it would be better for both parties if he wasnt at the club.

The thing that annoys me the most is why he had to go public with the whole i want to move on stuff, he created a tension between himself, the fans and club and will now get blamed for everything. Hes agent would have made other clubs very aware he could be got so why do they have to announce it in the press?

The minute he did that it was time to get rid. Id image the problem was no club wanting to pay what we were quoting.
