What utter bollocks. Why bother with competition for his place just get a replacement as the man has his mind elsewhere such as Barca.
He has been very good a few times average a few times and useless a lot of times and he strikes me as someone not committed to the cause as he is more interested in not getting hurt .
Move him on get someone who is 100% committed a new man may not be as good but commitment will make up for less ability
What utter bollocks.
But fair.But harsh.

All of it.Once you get a supporter who can see no down side to a player you are wasting your time in criticising this player.
The thing is fans have their favourites and are fiercely loyal I get this but I am still allowed to state what I see and that is a player when he is on it he is very good but for me most of the time he is average or worse; also I would not let him near a corner or free kick because his success rate in taking corners is also poor and his free kicks you can forget it.
It is just the type of game against Burnley you expect him to turn up well he was as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
What part of what I have said is 'utter bollocks " please enlighten me.
I take into account that maybe only Kane turned up on Saturday
My point is that if Erricsen is all he is cracked up to be these are the games to show his class .
His mind is elsewhere thinking of somewhere in Spain.
Well ,some feel that there is a correlation between Eriksen , contract issues and his match involvement levels .
The second Burnley goal also did seem somewhat soft from the Eriksen commitment perspective .
Well the love in goes on you are going to be very sad when he buggers of to Barca.
By the way I don't question his ability but I do question his commitment.

He was superb last night. As he is most games. He is constantly on the move, first to press, first to drop deep to collect. He pulls out wide left and right to support and link. His cross pitch passing is pinpoint. And his specialty, that curved dipping ball where he drops it from a crazy angle, right over the defenders head and into an attackers path, is Pirlo-esque. And he has a bag full of goals and assists to boot.
Most importantly he has that reading of the game that only the likes of Scholes, Iniesta, Silva etc have... to be one or two moves ahead of everyone else, to know when he needs to move into or close down space, when to show, when and where to pass and what type of pass. When to dribble, shoot or drop off. He is an absolute top class, elite player.
I'm not surprised at his critics. My whole life I've noticed that people fail to appreciate these nuances of the game. That only the blood and thunder goals, tackles and skills get picked up on. They fail to see the craftsman, the link (or hook as the Argentinians call it), the metronome inside the clock. That is what Eriksen is for us. And I bet you those same people cry out for him when he moves on.
Nah, clearly not at his best... I mean it's not like he's actually on par with the last two seasons, and his passing has actually improved...

This. When Eriksen is asked to be a box to box CM, which was the case against Burnley, we will suffer defensively. Just as @Shadydan says; Eriksen has never been a strong tackler, which is all in its right as he's first and foremost a playmaker.
We're screaming out for more creativity from our central midfielders and as I see it that's why Pochettino likes having Eriksen playing there. Maybe this all comes down to our transfer dealings as usual. If we'd actually bothered to upgrade our CM, we wouldn't have to play one our best players our of position.
Also if you think he is the man for corners and free kicks you are delusional.
