Maybe the goat hears it a bit before the press. Maybe in a couple of days it is in the press.

They still talk to his agent. His agent will tell them if chris is signing a new contract or not. They don't need to read it in the papers.

Looks like the rumour is spreading across the camp on tour (especially considering the timing of the goat's info), wouldn't surprise me if it hits the press today.

How'd you know the rumour is spreading across the camp?

Maybe not termed it well. My guess is the info came overnight and A&C posted first thing this morning. Coincidentally there was also a huge press dump overnight with the open training session and Poch presser. This suggests to me the info is sourced from someone connected to the tour.

I've also seen people on twitter who don't claim to be ITK but have contacts at the club saying they've heard similar things this morning.

In a way it's quite refreshing, he's been very open about moving to only Real or Barca but also understands that if those moves don't happen then he's in the best place to stay at Spurs. He's not throwing his toys out of the pram a la Berbs and Bale lol
I certainly don't begrudge him a move if it materialises - but having him stay would of course just be awesome.

However, players can't simply assume they can get the move of their dreams based on past performances.
Surely he has to realise he's constantly in the shop window and needs to remain consistent - hell, he should be the standout player every game.
Imagine if he'd blitzed the end of last season and capped it off with a match winning performance in the CL Final - do you think Zidane would still be coo'ing over Pogba?

IF he still wants his move (next season), i just want him to step up and perform like we all know he can - if he wants a new challenge, he needs to challenge himself first!

I think he'll find life a lot more enjoyable if he has a mix of Ndombele, Winks and LoCelso regularly playing in CM. We had such a stagnant CM last season with losing Dembele and Winks injuries that Eriksen was constantly having to drop deep to get involved. Poch obviously wanted this addressed and it looks like it's happening.

Didn't the goat previously say Eriksen had sold his house? This would be some turnaround.

Personally I always found that info that he’d sold his house a bit weird. Nobody would sell their house unless they absolutely knew they would be leaving, which Eriksen doesn’t. The guys rich, he doesn’t need to sell to buy etc

Worth taking it all with a pinch of salt including news that he may sign a new contract. Personally I still expect Madrid to come in for him, but Herc did say that we’d set a deadline for him to commit which sounds perfectly feasible and logical, and with three weeks to go till the window closes. I’d imagine that deadline has now passed, so the news that he has decided to commit to a new contract does sounds realistic and logical to me. Fingers crossed!

I'd imagine any contract would include some specific clauses that allowed him to go to certain clubs if our valuation (based on player who is not nearly out of contract) was met. Seems fair all round.

Be delighted if he signs on, a rejuvenated and refocused CE with some extra competition will be far better than ceballos on loan who clearly isn’t interested in a permanent move.

We’ve had ITK but I can’t see the daily discussion thread, has it been taken down or have I been banned? Can’t think why if so as I hardly post!
