Sad to see him go if he does

He's been amazing, Our best signing in recent times (maybe Jan or Toby also). I get he wants to move on and to be honest I bet he's had clubs after him every window since his second season with us but I don't see anything he's doing as disrespectful to the club - It's not like he grew up in Seven Sisters and got in fights with gooners at school.

A Bola says that we are looking at Bruno Fernades

The Headline is
"Tottenham want to take Bruno Fernades to replace Eriksen"

Fernandes’s agent seems desperate to get him a move somewhere. He’s been linked to all the big clubs in England. Us, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

The guy played so many games this season. Got to give him credit where it is due. A few important goals like Brighton (H)
Good luck to him. Final contract maybe and eager to add trophies and glamour to his memory bank. Hopefully a RM or Barca so it's an actual step up

Last summer I’d have been pretty devastated about it but after the season he’s had I’m pretty uninterested in him being here. A bit of a change around in midfield will do is good

Felt it was inevitable he'd go this summer - but I really wish he hadn't come out with that. Regardless of how far along we are and whether selling him was the plan all along, this undoubtebly weakens our negotiating position with Lyon and Betis respectively.

A somewhat lesser fee given that he's now gone public with his intent to leave, but surely still £60m+. We could potentially get more value from a player exchange with Madrid though. Bale or Isco anyone?
Why is it a lesser fee because he's gone public? He's still under contract.

I have absolutely no issue with Eriksen's comments. If ever there was a way to be respectful in pretty much saying he's wants to leave the club then that's it right there.

I think he's earned the right to see if a club like Real Madrid want him and whether he can cut it over there. Ruthless place to play your football but if that's what he wants then all power to him.

If they don't come in then he'll stay and hopefully be more focused than he seems to have been this season.

I think we're going to be adding the kind of players we need and they will be of a caliber that will make up for what we might lose in Eriksen going.

If he does go then in the long run I'd like to see us add a young AM like Brooks or Grealish but if we sign Lo Celso and N'Dombele as CM's then I don't think there will be a desperate need to replace him quite so quickly.

Surely it weakens our negotiating position just a little to basically have a player openly state that he wants to leave. I'm sure Poch doesn't want a player hanging around that doesn't want to be there, and a buying club must know it too. Not that I think Daniel Levy is going to roll over for anyone!

There's a distinct difference between Eriksen saying he 'wants to leave' and wanting to go to a specific clube (i.e. Real Madrid I assume). If they don't come in for him and he's happy to sign a new deal I don't see what there is to get bent out of shape over. I don't think he's the sort to go chasing the money at any old club who'll throw cash at him and for that he's got my full respect. I've got a feeling he could well be here next season. Time will tell.

Not bent out of shape, but it's obvious his heart is set on moving to a bigger Club.

With that in mind I think we're better off with that materialising, reinvesting in the squad and freshening up with players who are 100% committed to this Club.

Eriksen no doubt would remain professional if still here next season but it's not ideal imo, as it's affected his performances this season.

I think its better for all parties if he's sold this summer - for a fair price of course.

If he was respectful, he wouldn't be running down his contract. Puts the club that has given him a platform to perform at a massive disadvantage

Yeah I might be wrong on this, but I'm sure Coutinho signed a new contract at Liverpool about a year before they finally sold him. Possibly with the assurance of the club that it was so they could get top dollar when it was the right time to sell.

Good luck fella, 6 years of top quality and commitment. Just feel this is the right time for him to move on. I think the first 11 is going to be so different this coming season. The team need to evolve and change again for the best challenge and not stagnate and go backwards.

Rolls Royce of a footballer, just went a bit stale this season for whatever reason, not irreplaceable and will be fondly remembered if he goes.....change isn't always bad, might do both him and us a world of good....

I wonder if Bayern would fancy him considering James Rodriguez has come out saying he doesn't want to sign.

it's one of those where as long we come out of it stronger as a team it's agreeable. not to harp on about the same point but liverpoo are only in the position they're in now because they used coutinho money to sign vvd, keita and alisson. they came out way stronger plus they got absolutely stupid money for him.

If he leaves would be interesting to see how we will play next season. He's our real only creative player, and is a big loss. Would probably be AVB-boring style we're gonna play.

I don't think Lo Celso is good enough yet & also he is new to the Prem, to just replace him 1:1.

Why does he need to do this publicly? We all know he wanted to leave but the manner in which he’s spoken does not benefit the club in any way.
