They’re completely different players, and Toney isn’t obviously better than Richi or Son up front.

I wouldn’t get that transfer at all.

He’s another one like Gibbs-White that’s produced a few moments and now people clamour for him but he’s really not good enough generally. Do I see a good young player? Yeah. Do I see a player good enough for us and worth the money his club would ask for? No.

Toney is better than Richy and Son is only going to decline from here at 31. Either way it's a moot point as we won't pony up for him.

Wow, you lot are harsh. This kid is really good already and has a very high ceiling in a decent side. He plays on the right or up front, just the player we need in the squad to push Kulusevski. We could sell Gil and Ndombele, who we really need to give up on as hard as that is to admit for some, and have half his fee right there.

You can see Levy wanting to do that deal as it’s not a normal one. The circumstances make it one where Levy can try to be clever with how different payments are made and try to get a good deal because of the situation he’s in
