Firstly, selling our only competent defender would be madness. But if we did and got in the three you mentioned, we'd still be too short. It's too early to expect Phillips to play a significant role this season, so we'd be left with only two decent defenders in VDV and Tapsoba, which itself would be a risk with both new to the team/league.

We need to keep Romero and sign two first team ready defenders at a minimum.

You’d hope he’s going to Thailand and not Australia, but yes it’s definitely interesting he’s flying out there particularly when Alfie Dorrington hasn’t traveled. Would suggest it means he is more highly rated than Dorrington, or I guess it could mean they just want to see him in person, assess his ability with the first team players and get him used to the new approach.
