I mean, other people in the football world may know of this person
Thing is the work was in place with Paratici so it's not like he left and took all that work with him either. We also have the new chief scout who worked closely with him so I'm sure he knew all about Veliz.

We'll have a starting front three, who play 60mins, and a finishing front three, who come on after the starters have run themselves ragged? Remember, we have 5 subs from 9 on the bench this season.
Yeah I guess.

Just still get the feeling we're not going to go into the season with a 19 year old kid fresh from Argentina as our main back-up striker and in all likelihood he would be our 7th attacker rather than our 6th (3 first choice, 3 backups + Veliz)

Love the pure hope that a signing like this generates

Obviously impossible to predict whether this will be a success either way but for now I'll dare to dream that he'll be the next Leandro Damiao.

He can’t be Damiao as we actually sighed this lad😉😂

From seeing the types of headers he scores and his willingness to put in a shift, he looks like he’ll make it at a decent level. It’s his overall game and linkup play that will be interesting to keep an eye on. Fingers crossed he takes any chances he gets early and can really push on with the confidence that will bring. I hope Ange gives him enough minutes to get a good look at him assuming he doesn’t go on loan.

If Veliz plays this weekend he definitely can’t go out on loan because under the rules you can’t play for more than two clubs in one season

If Kane goes and Rich is out I'd expect Ange to go with Son up top anyway. We've got loads of wingers and Son can do a job there.

Throwing Veliz straight in at the deep end could backfire on many levels given the spotlight would be right on him and he's only just arrived.

Might need him on the bench though unless we use Scarlett.

Yeah. Depends on our loan plans I guess.

We'd surely sign a striker next week if Kane's off so could probably survive one game without a bench striker if the plan is to send Veliz/Scarlett on loan.

Or we bench whichever one we want to stay at the club.
