70m and thats a deal if you ask me

[@LaNacion] Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is actively working on completing the transfers or both Paulo Dybala and Giovani Lo Celso, worth in the region of €150M.

Lo Celso is still expected to chose to join Spurs this summer despite interest from Man Utd.

That’s half of the shirt sponsorship

Ask The American (I'm not feeling quite prickly enough to @ them), they're fluent.
Ha, you're being quite a pompous ass, aren't ya? If you really don't think player marketability adds value to a club than you are incredibly ignorant, as well. I simply provided statistics to demonstrate the player's value relating to that aspect.

I've fallen into the rumour trap and really want us to sign him now. Will be upset when I inevitably see that we wont sign him. I hope Pochettino and his Argentinian connection could be a pull as well as our CL final run last season.

Would still love us to get Lo Celso too as well. I wonder if we will let the Lo Celso deal drag out where Betis have to let us have him for cheaper because they need to fund for their Fekir deal....which would then allow us to fund for Dybala and sessegnon?

Would be class if Eriksen stays too as our squad strength in depth would be up unbeleivable. But like others have said, think it will be 2 out of the 3 (CE, GLC, PD) that we end up with.

I reckon Sessegnon will be a long term replacement at Left Back.

As for Right back, just my 2 cents.....but because our funds are being spent elsewhere, I would love us to take Dani Alves on a free just for a year and then next year we can use the window to strengthen even further.

I don't think the Alli problem is really do to with form - it's all to do with position. Alli was banging in goals for fun when he was essentially playing as a second striker in a 4-2-3-1. He stayed high up the pitch and him and Kane had the most combinations of any front pairing in Europe.

As soon as we stopped playing that system Alli's form went down the pan as, in my opinion, he's quite simply not that good playing deeper. He's immensely talented but he takes too many touches and can't beat a man. He has moments of brilliance here and there but ultimately he slows our play down and almost always looks like he's not being utilised correctly. In my opinion this isn't going to suddenly change. He might hit a purple patch and score a few more goals, but his play style is largely the same as when he joined 5 years ago and I can't see him suddenly morphing into something new.

Can’t beat a man? He’s literally nut megged half the league... I think he has the attributes to be effective playing deeper. Defensively he’s actually pretty solid his positional sense is decent and his first thought on the ball is to try play forwards through the lines. Agreed he takes an extra touch sometimes rather than releasing the ball but that can be worked on

Conventional wisdom is that if you have the cash available, then use that. Usually the interest earned on savings would be less than that paid on the loan, effectively making the loan more expensive.
Whilst that may be true for personal finance, for business it is less often the case. Because loan interest is tax deductible it often works out more profitable for a business to sit on cash reserves invested in short term bonds and get cheap loans for investment capital....... It also provides a lot more flexibility, particularly in planning cashflows.
I'd much rather use a loan than cash to finance business investment.

It was always going to be the case that we weren't going to be able to strengthen all areas of the squad. We've paid for 18 (arguably 24 months) of negligence in that respect. In any other situation extra funds would be allocated to full backs, but you can't turn down an opportunity to sign a player as good as Dybala when he's available for half/two thirds of his market value.

We will have to see if we can sell to buy in January at right back. There will be a couple of players we can look at moving on for decent money. At left back we've got to hope Sessegnon is up to it short term, but i'm sceptical.

It is all about opinions, no opinion can really be wrong, two people can see the same event and have differing views.
As Admin surely you want opinions and friendly banter, kind of what keeps the site alive, no !
In my opinion the world is flat. I have a very dumb opinion even if it isn't "wrong" because it is an opinion.

Patiently waiting for Hercules to confirm our interest and talks before I blow a load into my belly button.
It’s perfectly fine to trust certain external sources... JJ, Gards, Ally Gold, Dan KP and legit Juve journos in Italy reporting bids.

This is legit. Whether we make the deal is another thing but we’re at least somewhat trying.
