Maybe SpursIdol or Eddie Bailey will be able to confirm, but I heard that all of our youth coaches thought that Terry Dixon (our former youth striker/midfielder from Ireland) was going to be absolutely phenomenal from what they'd seen working with him, but then he had two very bad knee injuries which kinda finished him off before he'd even begun... well, at least enough for us to release him and allow him to join West Ham in a move that didn't bring him any more luck.

Real shame, there's no position that I'd like to see us spring a real homegrown gem from more than that of a striker. If only, if only...

I'm not so sure he was overrated, just a bit limited. He has had a decent career as a player so a bit harsh. Agree with the person who posted Leigh Mills. I remember reading about our 16 year old defender who was destined for England. Next thing he is struggling as a non league player. Crazy. Think we paid decent money for him too.

Julio Baptista - remember him?? No??? The Beast??? Still no???
Charlie Adam - just a prick with very little footballing ability.
David Bentley - The next Beckham ffs! Hold on while I pick myself up off the floor!!!
Stewart Downing - The left sided David Bentley.
Jo - Can't remember how much City paid for him, just remember he was supposed to be the next Brazilian star and was just shit.
Agbonlahor - Honestly can't fathom why anybody talks about him in a kind way at all.
Adel Taraabt - can't doubt his talent, but I doubt he will ever be able to do much with it.
David Beckham - Unbelievable crosser, unbelievable free kick taker, very very little else. Poor defensively, poor offensively, and not a huge amount of vision either. Possibly one of the most overrated footballers of all time IMO.
