to be fair, our fans seemed bad today, mainly cos the wigan fans were absolutly top-drawer. they were tremendous. Pissed all over us

1. Zokora is not a centre back, he had a terrible game but if i slagged him off i'd be accused of being biased against him so ive just give up.

2. O'hara is not a left back and he did a reasonable job of keeping valencia, one of wigan better players, quiet for the majority of the game.

3. Steed ran himself silly as usual for the majority of the game and his effort was unquestionable. He didn't have one of his better games but you could see that he was at least trying.

4. Jenas. If you count his passes backwards putting an already weakened defence under pressure, then yes it was probably a "respectable" 86%. His passes didn't go anywhere. When he lost the ball he didn't seem like he wanted to win it back.

5.Berbatov. Some good touches. Lazy. Mind elsewhere.

6.Lennon. man of the match. Looked like the lennon of old. Didnt get the supply he needed.

That doesn't mean your opinion is anymore valid than someone who watched it a home.

No I was watching it on TV but clearly had a better view than you - cos you cam on talking nonsense that JJ was awful - now you're starting to backtrack a bit -

not my fault if you talk nonsense about JJ is it

and trust me I will guarantee I've been watching Spurs a lot longer than you have - and I've been to plenty of games home and away and listened to the kind of nonsense you just came out with - being there doesn't make you right - watching the game without an agenda against certain players can help

incidentally so far Berbs got MOTM on BBc player rater and rated 2nd best on Sky with Lennon as MOTM

I agree these ratings don't 'prove' anything but neither do any one fan's view be it mine or someone else

however I'm getting some good back up for my view that Berbs was better than Keane today (again :)

I wasn't imposing my view of jenas' performance on anyone yet you persist in telling me that he had a good game and that im worng. Your view is different to mine, we are two different people. I clearly don't agree with you but i don't impose my opinion upon you.
You don't get to see everything on tv mate, i can guarantee i had a better view than you.
There you go again assuming that you've watched spurs for longer. I could claim to have watched spurs since 1882, yet i wouldn't go around bragging about it.

.

I never said JJ had a good game I said he had a decent game and did some good things - you clearly didn't have a better view than me or else you wouldn't have incorrectly called JJ awful

of course I can't prove that I have been supporting spurs longer than you - but I've supporting them nearly 50 years and going since 1963 - and you?

and there are plenty odf people on here who know enough about my posts from the 'old dayys' to back me up - not that it matters - but I've heard so much rubbish (and I'm not saying this against you KK - I'm talking in general here) from supporters over the years - they appeared to have had as good a view as me - but when they open their mouths and give their opinions you wonder if they are actually faced the right way round

This isn't about whether JJ had a good game or not. This is about whether or not he deserves all the abuse he gets.

well not for the first time a thread has diverged Flatters :)

as one of the 'JJ fan club' you know my views on the absurd abuse JJ gets

however it is in a sense about how well JJ played today (and other games) because time and again a large section of our fans decide he's played crap when he clearly hasn't -

luckily Ramos & Jol both know/knew better and have played JJ consistently

no surprise as he's our best mid

Ive already said that people who slag are own players off at the game might aswell go and watch that shower of shite down the road. However im entitled to say what i want about players on here as it doesn't influence the performance.

Im niether 'pro' nor 'anti' jenas, i just think we need to vastly improve in that area of the park if we have any hope of breaking into the top four next season.

Well you're right there KK - but we also have massively to improve our defence too

to me we have 5 priorities GK CB LB & two mids (but would settle for one as long as we get the three defenders)

however my bet is that JJ will still be in our first XI next season - cos he's a good prem mid - it'll be zokora and Hudd playing less games (IMHO :)

Still dont understand why JJ gets the hate he does, i dread to think how much worse we would have been this year without him, he is pretty much the only cm we have who aint afraid to make forward runs.

Where to start on where to improve next year, too much to think about, leave that to Ramos, better be worth the money hes getting paid.

Id agree with that although id make a leader top priority.

for sure KK - be that leader a mid or a defender I don't mind

it's unlikely we're gonna get a Mackay, but a Roberts perryman or mabbutt would do the trick

hahaha we have been rubbish since beating chelsea in the final.

do you blame our fans, we have played newcastle, midlesbrough and wigan withought a victory, and 2 of them games were at home.

we show a diffrent character when playing big sides to these so called smaller sides we need to start winning games even if it means nothing.

rubbish bring back davids :bang:

3 things.

1 - DC - pull your pants up. You will never, ever get the same perception of a game from a tv set unless of course you base tactics on following the ball only.

2 - Jenas.is.rubbish.

3 - G'night all.

:hello:
