Really, we were cruising? I don't think we were and it didn't surprise me that it ended on a draw. We were at the home of the champions who have been in fine form since Guus took over it wasn't like earlier in the season under Muareen. Likening this fine young team to a bunch of Sunday league cloggers is shameful. Hopefully it'll be a learning curve but the incidents on Monday were not of their making.

We needed to toughen up a bit, but we went into overdrive from a standing start! Thing is we'd been playing our own game all season pretty successfully, and then we went from 0-150 mph in one game on the aggression stakes! It meant we lost control, but that we can also use that fight going forward.

I didn't want to post earlier as it might be seen as some kind of knee-jerk reaction , posts made in the heat of the moment can be a mistake , however my distress has hardly abated . I don't know if anyone on SC feels similarly as I've kept away having been nauseated by the pathetic excuses posted by deluded morons stuck in a Spurs bubble.
The world has seen how we are now and have registered their disgust loud and clear . I totally agree .I'm deeply ashamed and don't recognise my club anymore.
Yes Chelsea are natural arseholes , but nothing , nothing can excuse the animal behaviour from us .After 50 years supporting Spurs , I'm questioning whether I want to be associated with such a bunch of appalling , vicious cowards .
Yes , Cowards . Our players seem to like attacking the oppo when they are on the ground . literally kicking a man when he is down...disgusting .
So stamping on hands...kicking , then there's the sly punch in the guts....and the eye attack among numerous dreadful 'tackles' . No fucking excuses . So many times have I read that people on here are ' Proud'....PROUD, WTF !! Poch, who gets zero credit , is 'proud' of our gougers and stampers...Jesus fucking Christ...
Alli has been behaving like this for some time now . We've been mistakenly imo cutting him slack ,his endless stupid attacks ,fouling , pushing oppo players into the hoardings etc etc . He's rightfully banned of course .
So a couple of things
1. I never want to hear bleatings about how we never get decisions . We got truckloads on Monday .
2. I never want to hear about rough teams like WBA/Stoke etc being lowlifes . We are the ultimate arseholes, the worst on record with our appalling 9 yellows .
3. Our card is well and truly marked . Refs will rightly have zero patience with our ugly thug players . I'm hoping the next appalling , murderous Dier tackle is a straight red . Same with Lamela . This bunch of mindless thugs must learn what is acceptable and what isn't. As fat Sam said 'They lost the plot' .BBC said 'unacceptable' .Quite right
The only , tiny , chink of light is Danny Rose coming out and apologising . The entire team and particularly Poch should be supine making apologies before the country . Levy should make a statement of regret....but no , we aren't that classy anymore , just fucking lowlife thugs .
Am I still a Spurs fan ? this is what I'm working on now . I totally fucking Hate what we've become , its everything I loathe . After Monday we look UP to slime like Spam . The whole picture has changed and I'm deeply ashamed and sickened with what I've seen .

Ehh... personally I think that yes they lost their heads against Chelsea and the occasion and the talk before the match got to them. Having said that.. they showed real grit and determination and tried to impose themselves throughout the match and I'm proud of that. I really do think you need to take a step back and calm down a bit my friend - Walker was stupid (he often is) and Dembele did something completely out of character and should be ashamed of himself but the team as a whole I am very proud of this season.
If you are really questioning your support of Spurs after one match then maybe supporting a team just isn't for you.

I think you are overeacting and full of hyperbole, it was 1 game, a unique game in a unique situation.
The players, who are very young and will learn from this were provoked by a cynical team. It was probably the worst club the footballing gods could have served up to us at this juncture.
I am not condoning the behaviour, we clearly lost our heads.
There is no pattern of this behaviour as a team so that is why I think you are talking shit.

Look at Souness (5 league titles, 3 Europeans cups) and Keane (7 league titles, 1 CL). These were hard, dirty, physical no nonsense players. Other teams feared them.
Remember what Fergie used to say 'It's only Tottenham'. Every team knows we had a weak belly. Not any more.
Chelsea, the defending champions, celebrating a 2-2 at home. That should be your yardstick.

Yeah....I much preferred the times where we'd come out and teams would tickle our belly a little bit and then steamroll over us because they, and deep down, we knew we weren't tough enough. Those times where managers like Fergie would come out complimenting us on how great we are because he actually knew we were never a threat.
We're finally getting out on the pitch and giving some back and fighting at the top of the table and it disgusts you.

You state a list of the things you don't want to hear from us (Spurs fans)....well I'm afraid to say, if you stay on ANY forum then you will hear all those things!!!
Also, our team showing fight when in the past it is so apparent that we haven't (hence all the opposing fans, players and media calling us soft. How can you not be pleased that may be changing!! Yes I agree we went overboard on Monday, but it was and has been a one off!
