 Robbo - Would love him to stay, showed us great passion and commitment the last few years but unfortunately think his future may lie elsewhere.

 Chimbonda - Needs to find consistency to be considering the player he thinks he is. If the right offer came in I think we'd let him go.

:hello: Lee - Ramos clearly doesn't rate him, would rather play Chimbonda or O'Hara left back. Bye bye big man.

:-| Zokora - Can't make my mind up about him. Another one who needs to be more consistent.

 Kaboul - He is still young and I'd like to see him given a chance to develop and adapt to the English game.

 Tainio - Great player to have in squad, always gives 110% no matter where you play him, would be wrong to keep him if someone came in for him though.

:hello: Stalteri - See ya Salty!

 Jenas - Probably one of our most improved players under Ramos and by far our best midfielder.

 Berbatov - World class. Please stay.

 Keane - Yid for life I feel, in great form this season.

:hello: Cerny - Thanks for filling in this season.

:hello: Ghaly - Cheerio.

 Malbranque - Nowhere near consistent enough, I'd personally replace him for starting XI and keep him as backup if he's happy too.

 Bale - Looked excellent, bright future with us.

 Boateng - Either develop him or get rid, has yet to prove much to me but we have to rememeber he is young and is first Prem season.

 Taarabt - Shown enough to deserve his place in the squad and could be a good player when he learns/develops more, but I feel it will be a couple of seasons yet.

 Dawson - Looked awful next to Kaboul, but his form has improved again and he's showing what he can do.

 Huddlestone - Possibly our brightest prospect has really come on this season.

 Bent - Has remained professional and has started scoring goals.

 O'Hara - Can't fault his commitment but I don't think he is good enough to start. Squad player.

 Lennon - Had his critics but starting to find form. We'd be mad to sell an Englishman with so much potential.

 King - Please get fully fit

 Hutton - Great signing, has looked solid.

:hello: Gardner - Think Big Tone will finally be off.

 BAE - Has been unlucky with injuries, deserves a chance but will be backup to Bale I feel.

:hello: Rocha - Looks like he's way down the pecking order.

 Dervitte - Touted as a good prospect, has been unlucky with injuries. Loan him out I say.

 Woodgate - What a signing.

 Gunter - One for the future. Another I'd loan out.

 Gilberto - He won't go but why did we buy him lol.

like your views Nick H (I only looked at JJ & Berbs - but can tell you're a man of sound judgement :)

So you don't agree with my view of JJ? There is a shock

I do agree with you that he is our best midfielder though.

Agree with much of what you say and, in particular, that Jenas has really developed under Ramos. Not sure about Taarbatt. Want him to stay, but would like to see a bit more end product.
Regarding Steed, I think he needs a consistent left-back behind him to be truly consistent himself. A brilliant player and I disagree with many who don't rate him.

All of these threads basically seem to be saying the same thing..
Apart from Ledley(if he sorts his injury problems out),Berba,Keane,Hutton,Woodgate,Bale, theres massive question marks about the quality of the rest of the squad.

If Bale doesn't shine next season he's going to be in for a roasting imo. Everybody seems to be creaming over him, but lets not hype him too much, he could end up the next lennon-esq whipping boy.

wise words Kendall - as you probably know one of my various crusades is for people to stop taking it for granted that Bale has our LB position sorted next season

I thought he was tremendous this season when he played - and his crucial role in kick starting our Caling win was vital and will always be remembered by me - what a goal that was v Boro

but he is not the finished article at LB - his injuries may leave him vulnerable - so I hope people don't expect to much

I only thought he was excellent at LM and going forward from LB this season tbh, very suspect at the back.

Bale is our LM, I hope Ramos sees this when Bale gets healthy, and if he doesn't, then I'm probably wrong because Ramos know more about footie than me.

good points again - but so many spurs fans have him down as our LB next season - I guess a lot will depend what JR wants from a LB
anyway I think we need another one

Defending as a full back is all about positioning and Bale was caught out a fair few times in the few games he played for us (as was BAE). Still he is young and I doubt Jol really paid that much attention to defensive structure, where as it seems Ramos is much more detailed in that respect. I expect Bale will learn a lot once he gets involved with the squad (whether he plays LB or LM).

Personally I think Bale will play at left back predomenently, considering Ramos has a history of playing full backs who are attacking and can get up and down the pitch.

I think Berba, Keane, Bale, King, Hutton, Woodgate are surefire starters. Jenas, Malbranque and Bent are all good squad players but need a little extra to be cemented into the team. Lennon is infuriatingly close to being awesome. Huddlestone is getting better all the time and I can't wait to see him after a full pre-season under Ramos, I really think out of all our players he's the most likely to migrate to the top group. Taraabt is so very frustrating - he's either Stephane Dalmat or Zidane and only patience and time will tell. Dawson looks like he's not fitting in and chimbonda and robinson are liabilities. The rest... will serve a purpose as either cash or rotation players. Gilberto needs a pre-season.
