Relevant parts of the thread:

Juventus allegedly signed an agreement with players stating that 3 out of the 4 months of renounced wages (covid hit, early 2020) would be paid off balance sheet, spread over time

Juventus captain Chiellini allegedly told the team not to share this detail with the media, ... and said whatsapp message was acquired as proof

23 + 17 players (across two seasons, including coach Sarri) could be banned for at least 30 days due to accepting being paid off balance sheet. This would apply also to players (and coach Sarri) who are not at Juventus anymore

Juventus could be sanctioned with further point deductions and fines ranging from 1 to 3 times the amount in question. CR7 deferred wages alone are worth €19.6m

further sanctions could include automatic relegation and revocation of titles (scudetto of 2019-20)

Another thing to add is that Juventus is a listed company, so off balance sheet liabilites such as deferred wages are a big no-no. Juventus former president Agnelli and several members of the board/directors are being investigated for this as well. The thread above is only re: sporting justice and Juventus, not criminal justice for individuals

Players and their agents aren’t allowing that to happen without going to court. If that happens at all it will be deferred to the summer I bet.

Stolen from Reddit. Kulu and Bentancur are among the players mentioned on the list.

Goodness me.

That's incredibly harsh on the players if they do ban them.

It feels like the club put them in a impossible position (short of agreeing to legitimately renounce a full 4 months of wages).
i feel like this too. not in a position (even educationally, they're not accountants!) to challenge it.

maybe shades of Messi's barca tax thing where the agents take the fall and the players get a slap on the wrist/fine

Absolutely, it also reads like this was communicated through Chiellini, who is in an even more awkward position.

Your captain (and a bloody good leader to boot) is telling you what ALL the players need to do, to help your club.

Even if they felt it was wrong, who can they tell? It suggests they were told not to speak to the media, I assume they were told to tell no one full stop.

maybe that's it. If they have the whatsapp the prosecutors can see who's in the group. and if you're not...well that's the ticket.

So does the signing of Danjuma mean the Zaniolo deal is dead or just we're signing him as cover for Gil leaving on loan? Danjuma plays LW or ST, so not the same as Zaniolo.

We are just going to have to hope that Gil is getting a PL loan and we are bringing in both Danjuma and Zaniolo. If this is instead of Zaniolo then i can't imagine Conte will be happy.
When you factor is that Moura is unable to play, we really need 2 anyway

Son/Danjuma, Kane/Richy, Deki/Zaniolo is pretty phenomenal depth. So to answer your question, no we would never sign Zaniolo, too.

Personally i would have been fine with giving Gil the extra spot. But i guess this way we would be more competitive. Im still massively sceptical that we get both him and Zaniolo tho.
