Nothing we didn't know. It was mainly the line that Jose wanted to keep him, Roma wanted €50m but Spurs would prefer to pay around €35m.

I just thought it was interesting that they were discussing it in light of POK's comments. Some would consider SSN as credible UK journalists.
POK I'm sure knows things and knows a few people. However I'm not sure how he has this unquestionable Tier 1 status. He's a lower league agent who is also a spurs fan. He's not David Ornstein.

Would anyone consider POK as one of UK’s credible journalists though?

Haha, just like some would consider that the earth is flat? :)

Pretty sure Gary Jacob at the Times has reported it as well. So when he says "no credible UK journalist" I can only assume he means *In his Whatsapp group.

POK has a good track record with team news. There seems a leak in our dressing room about injuries etc. and that is quite clearly shared among Gards, George Bannister and POK along with others. Not sure on their hit rate regarding transfer news. Not bashing, just genuinely think there are more established sources.

It sounds plausible but could it also mean:

no UK journalist, whatever field, in the world history ever?

The kit man will know the starting line up before it's released as will anyone in the medical team. or people in the IT department. Yet it would be more difficult for me to find that stuff out, and by the time I did it wouldn't be news.

€60m for a guy who had less than 5 goals and assists last season?

Who do Roma think they are ?

That is a proper “fuck off” valuation by Roma.

I wonder though, maybe Conte/Paratici does want him that much that they’d green light this tbh.

A team that doesn’t need to sell, their young home grown star talent that the manager wants to keep and is starting….

That’s absolutely fine.

We should walk away then if that’s how much they’re demanding.

€60m is outrageous.

Probably want the €10m loan fee if it is an option. I am guessing if there is an obligation this will be negotiated down. Will be cheaper overall if we take the punt on signing him permanently now.
