My 44 year old sister still plays football, despite having a titanium knee replacement and arthritis in her other knee. Absolute maniac that she isFWIW my mate also had an ACL while playing Football for the Met Police. He had a slight injury in that area the week before and sadly through his own incompetence carried on playing and injured himself irreparably. It was a shame because he was a good defender similar in style to the Kilman lad at Wolves. Sadly, the force let him go because he couldn't carry out the job properly which was shame because he was half decent and following attackers around the pitch. Doctors said he would be able to avoid arthritis later in life if he finds a more meaningful and less stressful occupation.
