The same as they were when we played 3 5 2 against United and that went well
Oh I'm not saying it will go well, but if whoever comes in plays four at the back and picks Spence they'll have their name sung out before half time. It'll take a total change in formation before some understand the problems are bigger than the tactics and the managers(plural)

The real conduit of fan’s thoughts are the ones who go to away games. Too many day trippers at home games these days. Perfect for ENIC. Keep feeding the cash cow

This is my prediction.

Conte will walk or be pushed after a heavy loss to Citeh and a dour performance against Fulham.

Poch in on the Wednesday followed by a couple of 'club signings' to appease the gammons.
Agree with first point seriously doubt the 2nd point. Unless they are loan with options with Levy would just f**k off.

On the one hand it does feel like the club are waiting to see how these next 2 or 3 fixtures go before committing to anything but on the other, we didn't sign Bentancur or Kulusevski until January 31st last season...

If only there was a way of predicting those fixtures, based on how the previous games this season had played out?
All should have been planned during the World Cup and actioned Jan 1st if they were serious.
But they are not.

I’d rather tuchel than Poch, he had his chance and the football towards the end of his tenure was terrible. Plus we never seemed to turn up in the big games.

That’s the thing though isn’t it. Home and away fans are the ones that count and are the barometer of how Conte and levy think. It’s not the social media warriors from all corners of the world. They have no effect on things, it’s us in the grounds who’ll make the difference, if that’s at all possible.

I’m really curious to know if WLB latest means we will be going for Contes’s targets such as Zaniolo or if we are going to go for Levy opportunistic buys such as Trossard for example. Be very interesting to see as I was assuming we would ether bring in no one or maybe just get Porro.

Yes I agree. I wasn't sure whether it to take it as either:

1. they're good players but not necessarily players Conte would chose

or

2. they're good players that Conte wants but he may not be around that long and not suited to a potential new manager

Agree. WLB seemed to indicate we were after good players but maybe not our predetermined targets. Whatever happens I just hope it works out. I really don't want to deal with anymore upheaval with this club!

Yeah it was all super confusing. 0-100 I assumed meant was a postive and we would fe bringing people in but read to me as we would buy players that presented themselves rather than a coherent strategy

I think it ties in with what @Trix said about levy having his own ideas on targets

Yeah I certainly read it as more of a Levy initiative rather than a Conte or Paratici one. Tbh im not really expecting anyone exciting. If Levy is taking things into his own hands I have zero faith we will get anyone remotely good. One just has to hope it’s more Paratici being given room to move.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us try and push for this one provided he has no issues from his previous injuries. If i remember correctly, he was one we were linked with before Conte arrived so must be someone we've had our eye on for a while. Down to the last 18 months of his contract, not in great form......Levy probably feels there is a deal to be done there

Yeah same. Def felt like it’s back to the days of last min cut price deals out of the blue. I’m going to waiting for the links to Depay to pop up any day now.

I find that this one, more than even Porro, would be an encouraging sign regarding Conte’s future. One thing is for sure tho, considering the uncertainty about Conte’s future, I’m not sure why he’d want to come here.

Let's hope the bald one has an epiphany and realises he is not the football guru he thinks he is.

I'm not holding my breath but we can only hope!

Yea this is the bigger picture for sure which is why as you’ve rightly said before, the best thing for the long term future of the club and influencing Levy is for conte to stay as long as possible.

Short term Poch back and a switch to a back 4 and playing spence and playing an easier on the eye brand of football would certainly at least cause an uplift in morale in the stadium and a better mood at the club.

However you’re right, whoever the new manager brought in is Poch or otherwise, we’ll ultimately be back with exactly the same issues until Levy changes or steps aside from the football side because quite simply there isn’t a behind the scenes clear consistent football strategy and plan for success that we will commit to as Levy is too involved which takes away influence from the people who actually do know how to align on a consistent plan and know what it takes to make a plan to get success on the pitch (Manager, DofF, Head of player Recruitment etc).

It’s literally that simple which is why there has to be change because Levy has had 22 years to change and he hasn’t so we now need to influence it or we will keep having the same issues with a messed up squad that doesn’t fit the managers needs.
