Only 5 teams are worse than us defensively this year. Potentially 3 of these teams will get relegated and Everton who may yet get relegated have conceded fewer goals than us.

This was with the pragmatic and defence first Conte. If the board thinks we can get someone in who’ll get a tune out of this squad without major surgery on the spine of the team it won’t make a difference who the manager is.

If Ange gets it I’d be hopeful that he could be transformative as he’s been at Celtic and supposedly at other teams (I’ve only followed his work at Celtic) but it strikes me as we are far worse off in relative terms than Celtic were when he took over. Not to mention that teams will punish every mistake our players make in the premier league whilst he’s trying to implement his philosophy whereas you’ll get more reprieves with most teams not taking advantages as effectively in Scotland due to the disparity in quality that can exist.

Only way that Ange, or anyone else succeeds with us is if they tear the house down and rebuild it with foundations that aren’t rotting away as they have been for us for the last 5 years.

Who would you like from the remaining options?
Well the point is Nagelsmann and technically speaking Poch are available. The next best but more risky would be Gallardo or Slot ( now off the table). Either remaining 3 would be exciting enough for me. There's some good other options but it's still sad to see them now being acceptable for people. It shouldn't be acceptable. It's not whether they are decent managers, it's that in comparison to who we could have that's the issue. Like are people really happy to take Ange or Potter instead of Nagelsmann?

I like it just wish he'd have gone fuck it and really twisted the knife. Not quite a knockout blow but we'll take it, clearly gives a toss about the supporters.
If rumour is to be consolidated to ask informed opinion, we are to expect a new DOF to replace Paratici.
However, with the expertise brought in by Paratici to assist him, there’s a possibility that the DOF could already be in place.
That further puts distance in between Levy and the football teams.
It’s another reason I’m confident that Scott Munn is coming in to be an overview on all things football at Tottenham.

I guess the problem with the Conte rant and Mason doing his lightweight version of it, is that I suspect, most people outside of Spurs fans will apply the criticism to the club and not the individuals running the club.

The famous “lads it’s Tottenham” quote, I believe has been so damaging to the club. This mass pile on of Spurs right now will only hurt Spurs. I will continue to hurt Spurs regardless of who is running things.

Imagine if we had got Unai Emery before he went to Villa. No doubt plenty of moaning in here. Done a hell of a job without saying he needed a couple of transfer windows. Bought a 30yr old full back from Spain .
nearly killed off Steven Gerrard career in 6 months.
Potter looked a bit rabbit in the headlights at Chelsea, not sure he could cope with all the nonsense at our club. Slot did look a good prospect for us but not to be.
if I had to put money on it I would think it will be Rogers.

I dont understand how Levy and his fucking chronies cant see the damage they have done and are doing to our club and not think with the weight of evidence *Lads and ladesses, we may need to let this go, we have gone and properly fucked this shit up* I am staggered there is no introspection. I dont get how they dont SEE that Managers etc are looking at us and going *no fanx bruv, I'd rather stay at *insert club name here* than go to your shithouse*.
I have just turned into Fuck Off Daniel Road and I am heading for Apathy Street with Tottenham Hotspur right now.

I think at a very granular level it comes down to Levy being able to sign cheques without getting involved. As long as that cheque is in the budgetary constraints set out, it should be approved without question. I don't see how it matters how many people are below him in that sense. It's down to DL at the end of the day whether he wants to resist the urge to intervene.

Club using social media and their PR to test the waters with managers names. Vote against it. They are deliberately gauging fans reactions.,
As for someone that was relatively supportive of Levy until recently, I’m now fully in the Levy out brigade. he now needs to step aside as we’ve become a laughing stock.

I’d be happy with any of these names.

It’s a world away from Gattuso and Nuno.

I've lost the will to care who we bring in for either role. There are some fabulous candidates out there who are either not being considered or don't want to come because Levy is not going to relinquish the control needed for them to do their job properly.

So whoever comes will be hamstrung from day 1.

I don't mind that we have a chairman who knows so little about the football side of things. Most don't and why should they?

I do mind that we have a chariman who knows so little about the football side of things, but thinks he knows so much.

Is he or has he been signed up, but not announced?

Not going for Poch is still one of the most confusing sporting decisions I've ever seen. In any sport.

It makes absolutely zero sense. Went for him 2 years ago, now it's completely out of the question?

No clue what's going on at Spurs right now.

At this point I believe nobody, trust nobody, everything is a smokescreen, info fed to club trusted journos is for some social media experiment and data capture. Dancing bananas are really cucumbers, all whilst we're a clown show, and being laughed at in all quarters more than Chelsea are for being 12th and maybe finishing 14th.

We seem to say it a lot lately, which is very worrying, but in the context of where we find ourselves this really is the most important appointment Tottenham will make to date.
