Tbh I’m not sure I buy all of that.
Rodgers is by no means my first choice BUT if we couldn’t get and/or the following Managers didn’t want to move, then Rodgers ticks the PL experience box, his teams play good to watch football generally and he’s over performed for 2 seasons everywhere he’s been before then it fizzling out.
If we can’t for whatever reason get any of : JN, Poch, De Zerbi, Slot, Ange.P, Kompany, then Rodgers comes under that next bracket of Managers and if we got him and he convinced Maddison and Barnes for example and we signed a GK and CB, we could start to look half decent.
As I said, Rodgers by no means my first choice but the stick he gets on here making out he’s useless imo is ridiculous, he’s a very very good football manager and has proved that everywhere he’s been for the most part.
Fair enough mate yea that’s a different story then.
Especially when your first 2 choices weren’t outright not interested. Both had interest. Circus. When you are on your 7th or 8th choice for manager, things have gone very wrong.
And I don't disagree with your description of Rodgers. If we had hired Rodgers instead of Mourinho, for example, it might have worked. That was a team with good players just entering their prime, and a few tweaks, and maybe that was a team that could contend for trophies. But, now, we have an aging core, that needs either significant investment, or a complete rebuild. I don't think Rodgers is a manager for either of those scenarios. He is not going to get more from the existing players - and I don't think Levy is prepared to invest in what the squad needs to make one last run with Kane/Son.
Au contraire! Where else could you be treated to substantial amount of unsubstantiated…Real or not. There is no useful information in that email.
I conte see him doing that at all...nope.Not sure how we go back to JN unless Levy caves in to JN's demands and I can't see him doing that.
Agree with all of that mateWhen you are on your 7th or 8th choice for manager, things have gone very wrong.

Yep that’s a totally fair point and I have to agree with that. That’s where Slot would’ve been so good, such a shameAs a club/fan base we're broken, I feel like we need a big unifying character and he doesn't come across that way
We are out of our own depth! At this point I am not sure I would not rather have Rogers.
- knows the league
- successfully managed clubs at least the size of Spurs
- can play reasonable football
He may not be many first choices but if you are looking for someone who won't be out of their depth, would probably want to be here and, won't be heading off to Madrid if the opportunity arose, I am not sure who would be better.
I doubt the fanbase would be thrilled, mind, but a solid sensible choice would be a change.
Please don't gas light yourself into accepting Rodgers.
A placeholder until what? The next manager search we bungle?I actually agree. I really don’t fancy any of the remaining candidates.
Rodger’s as a placeholder would be fine.
But Levy’s decision to fire Conte when he did and replace him with second-raters has (arguably) cost the Club millions in lost revenue because of lack of Europa or Champions League football next season. Crystal Palace replaced their coach late in the season - and what a difference that change has made! Levy is incompetent. And it’s costing the Club millions in lost revenue. You can indeed run a football club just based on numbers. What you can't do is run a successful one.
Rodgers is partly responsible for Leicester's plight.Tbh I’m not sure I buy all of that.

Not in any way a defense of Levy - but - I thought it was pretty clear that Conte fucked off to Italy and had no intention of coming back. If anything it completely blindsided us that he wasn’t interested in seeing out the disappointing season. But Levy’s decision to fire Conte when he did and replace him with second-raters has (arguably) cost the Club millions in lost revenue because of lack of Europa or Champions League football next season.
