Can't imagine for a second Nagelsmann will be looking at this shit show of a 'football club' and thinking "yeah I fancy a bit of that"

And that's the problem....

We need someone who's prepared to accept the platform Levy hands them.

But Levy's ways are becoming more and more exposed.

Eventually it'll come home to roost.

So without putting a finer point on things, and to summarise the last 100 pages or so… it’s now looking easier (and quicker) to say who hasn’t ruled themselves out of the job.

It’s going to be Jermaine Jenas isn’t it?

I think this is very wide of the mark. The standard of our squad is far higher, despite a few players that need to be shifted/revert to backups to the first XI instead of starters - and the loanees should be largely shifted which will free up squad slots/raise money/reduce wage liabilities. Despite all the challenges we have we are still 4th currently and are bound to strengthen in the summer whoever takes over. Worst case scenario is another European places finish next season.
I hope you're right. I think yours is the optimistic view. The managerial appointment is key to all of this - staying in a current steady state (under achievement but serviceable level) or improving requires a strong character in the manager role.

It's not a foregone conclusion that we'll shift the loanees. When they come back, it's such a bloated squad it's untrue and none have been pulling up trees away from us either. 4th is a stretch for us and the current level won't achieve that by season's end because of that inability to win some games on the trot. And the frequent lack of fight in this side - running literally from half to half throughout the season - isn't guaranteed to shift in our favour.

I hope there's more candidates they say similar about Levy. Maybe just maybe Lewis will hear about it and remove him from office. Surely this attitude from a few potential managers will see their money diminishing the value of the club.

We might be a toxic cesspit at the moment, but chaos is a ladder.

For the right opportunist a unique time to join us and build the club to their footballing vision.

Unless, and hear me out…

JN is the equivalent of a footballing masochist who derives great pleasure from pain, humiliation and suffering.

In which case, he’ll take to working with Levy like a fish takes to water.

Welcome to the fun-house.

When you see how poorly managed we are from a footy perspective, I wonder if an Everton level of collapse is ahead in terms of results over the coming year. The view from outside is grim, with the Paratici nonsense adding to the mess.

We've been declining for 4 years. Serious players shouldn't want anything to do with us in the interests of their careers (goodbye Harry). Its been a challenge enough to get good recruits in and it's not going to get easier, even if the clowns in charge could identify them in the first place.

And decent managers should be reluctant to get involved because its patently clear we dont have a good structure and culture.
Not a chance. We may well struggle a little more than very recently but we still spend money on half decent players and pay good wages.

My one problem with Arne Slot is whenever I see his name I think of Arnie, and when I think of Arnie I think of..

Well a new potential manager will look at the players first and there are a few good ones ...Porro, Romero, Son, Kulu, Bents, (new) Emerson, Skipp, Sarr, Biss, Udogie..PEH has his moments, Richarlison might come good goal wise...then there's the Harry Replacement striker bought with the 100 k from Harry..or indeed the man himself.

I reckon a decent manager might fancy he could get a tune out of these plus a coupla additions.

Famous last words but we’re not ‘that’ bad, as you say we’ve been somewhat on a decline for years however we’re still 4th and we’ll be challenging CL spots this year. Whereas Everton will get relegated soon enough.

We also have the stadium which will allows us to continue spending and getting players in, being in London also helps a lot. Whereas Everton are in their situation because they can’t spend because ffp. We have a good core of players and add a couple in the summer and get the right manager and possibly DOF in and the situation could look massively different.

There are clickbait stories left, right and centre, but the unfortunate reality is that the element of most not trusting their rep or not willing to work with DL are likely true, let's hope money talks and we offer something they cannot refuse.

I completely agree.

A video I stumbled upon that I don't think have really been shared yet

His pattern of play highlights for his AZ squad a few seasons ago. I know it's dutch league, salt required, but if our side played with this tempo/togetherness then I would back it.

Apologies if already posted but…push and run!
