I'm shocked people aren't looking at our official page most days to check it out.

I find chrome on both my desktop and phone really don't work well/at all with the new feeds.

Although it always seemed pretty obvious to me, this seems to put an end to any notion that we may move into NWHL next season

Wembley Stadium Update

Posted on 26 January 2017 - 10:15
In preparation for our proposed temporary relocation to Wembley, the Club can confirm that we shall be supporting Wembley National Stadium Limited (WNSL) in their planning application to the London Borough of Brent to increase the number of events at which the stadium can be opened at full capacity for the 2017-18 season.

I think we'll struggle to sell 90k tickets for game against someone like Hull.
Although i thought we'd struggle with Gent but it seems like they've sold quite a few in the upper rim.

I do feel sorry for the locals too, having that much congestion.

The pricing was the main reason. Not sure how that would work for PL games..

I imagine we'll be looking at multi-game packages along the lines of those sold to Bronze members before this season: so that you can give people a discount and a guarenteed seat for a number of games, and shift Hull tickets at the same time as Chelsea ones.

I think we will only be allowed full capacity for a few games. It will be 50k for a lot with the top tier closed.

Will it be a problem to use similar pricing? Probably more demand for Prem tickets (even Hull) than for Gent....

And then after a year Levy gets 90,000 people wanting to keep their live Spurs fix when there's only 60,000 tickets....

I can't imagine the season tickets holders would be pleased to be paying more than members did over the course of the year.

Hadn't thought of that - season tickets would have to reflect lower prices - could that be too much of a revenue hit?

How do we do financially out of renting Wembley, obviously we'll sell more tickets, but the rent must be fairly steep?

If and I think it will be a big IF Wembley successfully get the 90k capacity for all games at Wembley its going to be very interesting to see how the club sell tickets. I imagine for the less glamorous games they will struggle to sell 90k. So will it be a case as per the Gent game of selling the lower tier then if that sells out opening up the upper tier section by section. If so then surely the tickets in the upper tier will be cheaper than the lower tier which will be unfair on season ticket holders as we won't have the option of buying a season ticket in the upper tier as there is a chance it won't be opened up for every game. Also surely there has to be a big question on segregation we obviously rely on general sale tickets to sell out the stadium how are we going to stop opposition fans getting tickets for the home end particularly for the glamour games.

Danny will make everyone have to become a member before they can buy tickets, maybe we will end up with half a million members, wouldn't put it past him.

Absolutely. Particularly as ST holders are being effectively forced to buy a ST at Wembley or be slung to the back of the queue when the new stadium opens. I am still clinging to the hope that they go back to their original promise of an amnesty for current ST holders for next season. Particularly if they open the upper tier and stick with Stubhub as there will be no option of selling tickets as very, very few games will sell out.

I think Wembley have applied for ALL our games to be 90k?

I've only heard that they have applied for an increase of the amount of events they can hold at full capacity. Not the actual number.

You probably know more than me.

Why won't Brexit have helped?

Only way I can think of is if we're importing construction materials from Europe, in which case the decline in the pound will be costing us (much as it did in the summer with the transfers of Jansen, N'Koudou and Lopez).

Exchange rates being rubbish against the pound meaning materials cost more from abroad. Unless mace bought euros prior to Brexit which can be done or got guaranteed fixed prices from the supply chain which I doubt as packages are still being tendered.

I think the pricing structure will have a lot to say in whether we sell out PL games at Wembley - especially if we are going well in the league.

We've sold a decent chunk of Gent tickets on a weeknight, in a tournament we aren't committed to, where it will probs be second string.
