For all those ST's who were thinking of moving seats at the stadium for next season looks like a no no from the club.

"Due to limited availability and ahead of the renewal process completing, we are not able to consider requests for Season Ticket relocations during the renewal period this year."

That's really poor.

They actually announced this would be the case ages ago. Don’t see anything wrong.

It just seems silly and a bit pointless. I'm sure, for instance, there's people in the South Stand who've realised there's going to be a lot of standing and want to move, and people elsewhere who'd love to be in the middle of it. Why on earth wouldn't you let them swap?

If you go to Ask Spurs on the club website it still has the following info on season tickets so not updated with the latest ST renewals information. Don't know who compiles the Q & A's on the website but obviously not been in contact with the ticket office. When ST's were originally offered the club did say choose carefully as moves may not be possible.

"Renewals / Can I move my seat?
We are unable to action any request for seat moves mid-season. Seat moves may be possible for the 2019/20 Season, subject to availability.
We'll be in touch with all Season Ticket holders once we have further information available regarding Season Ticket renewals."

By my rough calculations the tunnel club and H club brought in about £15m this season on 285 seats from 8k of available hospitality seats. I know it’s enhanced this season with the joining fee and those are the 2 pinnacle clubs. But I wonder if people have underestimated what hospitality will bring in a season.

Why would they want to play in our stadium, other than it being the best in the world I guess but it two hundred miles away, wouldn't they want to play in a more local ground?
They played a friendly at Wembley a couple of years back with a very good attendance. Plenty of plastic fans down south plus tourists happy to go for a day out.

One good reason I can think of for letting them. In future, we'll probably want to bid for more serious neutral-venue matches - being included in the proposed British and Irish World Cup Bid, or even bidding for European cup finals ourselves. A bit of experience hosting such games and dealing with the security etc could help with that.

I'd be surprised if people in the South stand didn't expect standing when there was standing at the old place and they have safe standing rails set up. I would have expected ongoing ST holders to book seats in a similar section to the old stadium and new ST holders to have done their research.

Of course, but there's a minority who won't have done and I don't see the harm in letting them correct their error.

I stupidly paid £2,2K for an 1882 ST and now after 5 games I’ve realised I was conned there are no special benefits with an 1882 ST and Id rather pay the £2K to have a seat in the west or east stands. Looks like that won’t be possible now .

Trouble is you can't let just a select number do it, you would have to allow everyone the option and that would just cause more issues.

If you genuinely think that you've been misled about what you were buying then contact the club and tell them why and ask what they can do about it.

Just let people request and tell them there's no guarentee. How it always worked at WHL without much issue. I expect you'll have a fair number wanting to leave the South and more wanting to join it so it shouldn't be an issue to be able to offer the people put off by the persistent standing somewhere else if they wish.

I'm not sure how they would do it. So if 10 people want to leave the South and move to the North stand and 20 want to move from the North to the South how will they decide who gets to move? I think if one person moves it will always upset someone else if they themselves can't. I'm sure most people will get used to where they are, it's just a matter of getting familiar with the regulars in your section. It's an incredible stadium and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Just a few twats to put up with but you get that at every club.

I know I'm in no position to butt in to this conversation but is there no way the club could/would consider mutual exchanges between season ticket holders?

Surely if a couple of supporters had happened to become friendly on here (for example) and each had decided that their current seats would actually be more suitable for the other, it wouldn't be too difficult for the club to allow them to switch with eachother?

Probably use the same phases system they had when we brought the STs? It's far from insurmountable. Even pot luck and having 10 people swap happily is better than having 0.

hope we turn them down, don't want them ruining the pitch, or getting used to it before we play them in August or September (it seems the norm now days)
