I dont doubt it would be fine by the time we play, however, if there's one club in the world that could build a billion pound stadium and fuck up the pitch dimensions, it would be us.

We are the equivalent of Sideshow Bob walking in a footballing world of garden rakes.

We should have been playing Barcelona, Inter and Dortmund at the new ground. But now ironically due to the shitshow with the fire alarm and the extra expense, we couldn't fund sufficient upgrades, and it's looking likely we'll have to open the stadium for its first full season playing a team from the Moldovan league. They'll just be glad there's stands the whole way round and the changing rooms have working lights

Fucking hell. Cheer up you grumpy git. We are about to open a billion pound stadium after years of gradual improvement on the pitch. We have had a tiny blip in form but are about to get rested and finish the season in our shiny new home.

Good luck to all those who have applied for the test events off here.

Not long till the club announce general admission prices. That's going to spark debate.

From our head groundsman own mouth -

The corners and goal profile are not complete to match specification but will be soon.

I know it will be all alright on the night, but I find it very strange they weren't all marked out/laid out in place from the get go.

The woe is me attitude on here when we suffer a couple of adverse results is just utterly embarrassing.

I was rather unclear. I meant GA prices for Premier League games.

You'd think so wouldn't you? On that basis the lower end of Cat A will be £60.

I think that's actually optimistic.

First of all I'd ignore the £795 seats - because there's extremely few of them, only in the family section with the requirement to have a kid with you, and mostly sold as STs. The next up from that is the £875 seats - probably sold out in the South but available in the most central parts of the back six rows in the North Stand. Then you have much wider availability at £950, so I'll consider both of those. I'm also going to say that over a season the ST will work out around £25 cheaper than buying individual match tickets.

The difference in prices currently between A, B and C games is all over the place, so I'll take the example from the slightly lower end of Catergory 1 at Wembley - the closest to these prices, and the second-most expensive non-premium area. It's also one where Catergory A is a bit more expensive than you'd expect, and B/C a bit cheaper, which fits in well with the club's strategy. There's so many STs sold that they can charge lots for an A game and still sell out easily, so they'll surely use the model where it's B/C which get a bit cheaper.

In those cheapest seats at the top of the North (and very top of South if it's not all ST?), that gives you £63 for Catergory A, £45 for B, and £36 for C. In the next ones more widely available in the middle parts of the North Upper (and South upper bits?) and one block of the North Lower, you get £68/£49/£39 - this will probably be the lowest price you can get if you don't book early. And past that, in the upper tier corners you get £70/£50/£40, and immediately behind the goal you get £71/£51/£41. So even in the cheap sections, you're looking at more like £70 for Cat A games, especially once you consider booking fees.

Of course, ST holders can probably also expect to be charged these prices for the Champions League Quarter-Final next month.

You can see in these photos taken a bit later where they’ve worked on it so the slope isn’t so steep. View attachment 46480 View attachment 46481
Good to see the good old WHL mange is starting to infect the corner of the tray.
With careful attention, there is no reason why it couldn't infest the whole of the corner area in the next few weeks, to make the players feel right at home.

As for the slope, it is impossible to gauge it from this picture. But the height of the pitch or LED boards will not have changed.
Without blocking the adverts, the only thing they could have done is redraw the field markings. But UEFA have calibrated VAR with this current layout so that is not happening soon.
In 20 years time, if the artificial pitch isn't getting much use then I guess they can remove the trays and lower the pitch a couple of feet.

I like Nike Hart Lane so I'm going with that.

Great contribution mate.

Of course we'll all pay it but £85 or so for 1/4 final is still bonkers money.

Yep, that's sadly what it'll be around for most of the East/West stands.

They'll get away with it for this one obviously, but I do wonder if those Cat A prices will work for cup games in the future. I think they'll be fine for league games since there's only going to be around 9k tickets for members/general sale anyway. But if I'm right and it is £63 up to £140 in the most expensive non-premium/1882 seats, I could see quite a few ST holders staying away for e.g. a CL group stage game against a big team, or an FA Cup QF vs Arsenal. Hopefully they'll have to go to Cat B at most for domestic cups, and re-introduce the package deal for CL group stage games.

I imagine they'll test the water and our loyalty for this one

Maybe as a small thank you to all the ST holders that gave them a huge loan for 6 months they’ll give us the CL ticket foc!!!

Would not surprise me if they try and stick another £10 on top of normal prices for this CL game

£75 minimum for a normal seat....

They'll probably charge ST holders the same as members.
