Nike would be huge but seems strange to me why they would associate so closely with one club. If the emirates was called Nike I’d never buy Nike gear again. But if it was Nike there’s no way they’d want to be associated with a club struggling to make top 4. I’d imagine they’d have info there are big things in pipeline like a buyout.
Would it the club they'd be more looking to associate themselves with or the most up to date stare of the art sports arena in sport? Of course the team needs to do well, but how long before internationals the NFL and even a CL final is played there?

Making kits is their actual business.

Normally stadiums are sponsored by companies that want exposure, or to change public perception of their brand. I don't see that being the case for Nike at all. And I do think it odd that Nike would tie themselves to one club so specifically.

I really hope it's true though. I am so fucking here for the ltd edition Spurs Air Max 1s.

But this is how you grow your brand.

How did Richard Branson start Virgin compared to what they're involved in now.?

OMFG, I've just realised that I'm away on holiday on the 16th March... I'd better not bloody miss our first game at the stadium! :nailbiting:

It is interesting to see more English clubs moving away from the Nike kits so may be something to it. Nike also sponsored their first E gaming player recently too. I could maybe see some Nike sponsored E gaming events at the stadium in the future. If it's big money as I'm sure it will be then it can only be a good thing.
I saw they had an esports event at the club shop, so that could tie in

I see your point but I don't think it's logical for them. They're the biggest and most ubiquitous sportswear brand on the planet. I don't see how sponsoring a specific club gives them any growth at all, if anything there's a danger it could be counter productive. Hope I'm wrong!

Surely if it’s going to be the 16th March they will have to announce the event today or tomorrow. Gives them less than a week to sort tickets out etc.

Likely to be the week after but the first event is going to be 10k anyway, so it'll just be a ballot for ST holders, which they can load on to peoples cards and turn it around relatively quickly.

They're not sponsoring a club, they're sponsoring a stadium, a state of the art modern sports arena tied in with the NFL.

It's not gonna be the Nike stadium. It's the usual adding up and coming up with a theory.
Nike kit deal for 15 years + City going to Puma = Nike Stadium
