It could be complete viral nonsense so I won't screenshot the message I got but allegedly the kit was due to be worn on Wednesday but the launch has had to be put back because Harry's in the publicity photos and the deal is virtually done for him to sign for City.

I don't doubt you received it!

What I do doubt is that between Kane being in the photoshoot, and the game on Wednesday, we managed to sell him to City.

Can’t be the publicity shots had Kane in, cos they’d have all been wearing the thing in the match anyway, right? So there would be photos of Kane in the actual match, wearing the actual kit. Did the club officially announce that we WOULD be wearing it, or was that just rumours?

Yeah it was mentioned on the site alongside an article about 100 years of the cockerel, which now seems to have been deleted...

Not sure I understand your point about Kane. If all the promo features him I imagine we are re-shooting in case he leaves, hence delaying the launch.

I was at a BBQ a few years ago with the head of Nike UK who said Levy was a pain to deal with because he wanted to change the details of the strip right up until the last minute. I said I thought they were all templates but he said not everything. I disregarded it at the time as I thought he was just having a pop but there could possibly be some truth in it. Might explain the late change.

I like it. Not usually a fan of Nike’s template approach, but the tiger-shark detailing sells this for me.
