I get the clamour to have them playing together, and eventually it’s likely going to be a standard set up in the side. But right now I think it’s pretty important that we have one of them on the bench, neither seems fit enough to last ninety minutes yet, and having someone of their quality to replace each other when they tire is a godsend.

Yeah, right now for me the biggest issue in the squad is how important those three midfielders are and the massive dropoff after them. Sissoko can do a job in a certain type of match but midfielders who can tackle, retain possession, break the lines, create chances. We're totally reliant on these guys. The dream for me would be offloading Winks, Dele & Lamela to bring in Zakaria (can cover b2b and DM) and Grealish (cover up front & b2b) but we know thats unrealistic.
