We had a scout on the plane going to see Porto, going to see Falcao...

That's as much as I know, he may have been mugged outside the ground, missed the match and developed an irrational hatred of all things porto, he may have watched the cute colombian score 4 goals and then partied the night away... who knows?

Nah, that scout was clearly going to watch Cristian Rodriguez... 4 realz

I would prefer Falcao to Hulk. I think he's more the type of striker we need. Hulk looks like a striker who would drop off and pull out wide, where we really need an out and out striker who can score goals. We need someone who will get on the end of the crosses from Lennon and Bale, and to feed off through balls from VDV and Modric.

I remember signing Falcao on FM07 as he always turned out to be amazing - see FM does get it right sometimes :)
Off the top of my head, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Messi, Diego, Robinho, Tevez, Mascherano and Berbatov were all class on Football Manager years before they actually hit the big time. Derby's Tom Huddlestone and Wolves' Robbie Keane were always worth signing in their respective games too.

Some major cock ups though, Freddy Adu being by far the worst offender.

if ever there was a striker made for us in terms of the amount and quality of crosses we can get into the box...
