If it's fluid you want then Steven Gerrard ex-player now manger commented when Brendan Rodgers left Celtic that he (SG) would never leave a club halfway through a season.

Money and fame nearly always matters.
Seems to me that he never said that:

“I don’t look at the Premier League, I don’t wish I was in the Premier League, I am very happy here.

“Rangers is massive, Rangers is huge and that’s the reason why I decided to take this opportunity up. I really appreciate where I sit right now and the job I have here. This is a huge job.

“It seems [the lure of the Premier League has been a big factor] otherwise he would have declined the opportunity to talk to Leicester.”

Just thought of Adebayor.!.
This guy could play and when he wanted to he was unplayable but that was usually when he wanted a new contract.
Never the fans favourite with us, screwed Woolwich over before going to City and then ran the full length of the field to celebrate in front of them after he had scored for City (that was so funny, as was his scrap with Bentdner in the 5-1 game). Sulked and under achieved at City as well after they gave him a great deal.
What a bum!, but a talented one nonetheless.

Amazingly still playing...in the Paraguayan league.

Had the ability and talent levels to be one of the best strikers of all time in my opinion.

He made the game look effortless when he was at his peak, but that was the problem, because he probably never had to work all that hard in training.

Made old firm Derby’s box office!

poor Maurice, he was just a bit misunderstood when he signed for Rangers after agreeing to return to Celtic ?Now stays in America out the way of it all, unfortunately the bigotry from both side still exists. I remember standing waiting to get picked up for Rangers training one day at 13/14 years old with my full tracksuit gear on and being called some horrific names by grown adults who should have know better.

Oh if we are doing this kind of list, I’m in.

Arsenal - Smith-Rowe. Smug looking slappable face, and wannabe gangsta accent.
Chelsea - Mason Mount. Teacher’s Pet.
United - Bruno Fernandez. Stupid stuttered penalties. Again, a face you’d never tire of slapping.
Liverpool - Robertson. Dirty bastard.
City - Jesus. Once again, a really annoying face.
Leicester - Vardy. King of the chavs. If he wasn’t a footballer, he’d probably have married his sister and been on crimewatch half a dozen times.
Burnley - Ashley Barnes. More of a thug, than an athlete.
Newcastle - Jonjo Shelvey. Can’t forgive him for killing Snape.

Can't believe you left out that **** Richarlison mate.

It was a beautiful beautiful thing

Currently

Arsenal - Xhaka
United - Maguire/Ronaldo
Chelsea - Alonso
Liverpool - Henderson / Robertson/ Salah (whole team)
Leicester - Vardy
West Ham - Noble
Annoyingly, I've always wanted to dislike Noble, but he seems like a nice enough bloke in his interviews. For a guy that's diehard West Ham, he doesn't behave even remotely like their annoying, tinpot fans

3. Harald Schumacher

In one poll to determine France’s most despised public figure, German goalkeeper Schumacher finished above Adolf Hitler. This white-hot hatred stems from a single incident – a horrific challenge in the 1982 World Cup semi-final – which to French eyes seemed the epitome of German superiority, smugness and sickening brutality.

With defender Patrick Battiston rushing through on goal, Schumacher simply smashed into Battiston forearm-first, knocking him unconscious and costing him several teeth in the process. The Frenchman was carried from the pitch and later slipped into a coma. In the post-match press conference, the victorious Schumacher, hearing of the dental damage, somewhat misjudged the severity of the situation by saying “If that's all that's wrong with him, I'll pay for the crowns.”

And the incident in question...

If my memory serves me correctly, he didn't even receive a booking for that.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic by Malmö FF.

They decided to put up a statue of him in Malmö, he later became part-owner of Hammarby (Stockholm club). The statue is no longer there.

Did not know that. That's the sort of story I started the thread for rather than generic lists of players people don't like.

Is there any reason Zlatan became a part owner of Hammarby rather than Malmo?

I think it was because the LA Galaxy owners had shares in Hammarby and decided to pay Zlatan partly in those instead of money. He has 25% of the ownership now.

Harry Kane. People only have any time for him when he’s scoring goals for them. Gonna be record goal scorer for club and country, eh? The bastard. And what’s with that whole Leyton Orient sponsorship thing? Think you’re bigger than them do ya? And stop shoving your happy and settled family life in our faces. There’s girls out there who need attention on social media and what have you done for them, eh? Going home to your wife. Disgusting.

I don't think he deserves a place on the list.

Paul Ince was intensely hated by pretty much every West Ham fan, as was Figo by Barcelona and Sol by us.

Kane is currently a divisive figure due to the way he acted in the summer and tried to engineer a move while pretending he wasn't. But he's far from a hate figure.

Leicester seem to absolutely hate Kane but that seems to be purely because he went there on loan and was shit.

Has Higuain been mentioned? Left Napoli for Juve?

I remember a furore about it. Quick check on line and our Latin cousins did not disapppoint, flushing jerseys with his name into the sewers, but most excellently, restaurants offering discounts if he got injured for his new club.

Steven Berghuis by Feyenoord fans (made the move to their arch-rival Ajax last summer after 5 years at Feyenoord, he and his family even got death threats etc.)

Feyenoord v Ajax is next month and it wouldn't surprise me if he won't travel to Rotterdam for his own safety, the pure hate and agression there is something else when Ajax plays there.

He also features quite a bit for the NT.

It has occurred to me before how awkward it might be if you're with your dutch mates in rotterdam watching the NT in a crucial WC knockout game, berghuis comes on and scores the heroic winning goal, how that celebration would've gone down, or what the chatter in the pub would be like.

I guess it's something you can ask an English spurs fan if Sol Campbell had done the same
