Hutton was quality for us every time he played last season. Strong right back who loves to get forward and loves to take the ball then the whole player when defending! Gives his all and was one of our best players towards the end of the season.

I don't think hutton is a major loss personally.
Are you smoking crack or something?

I know we've got decent cover with Gunter and even Zokora but how comes you're so down on the Scottish Cafu?

I reckon most people think he's easily the best RB we've had in ages.

"Luka Modrić je ozlijeđen, a njegov nastup na otvorenju nove sezone Premiershipa upitan."

Yeah, well, It's all bollocks if you ask me!

I heard that, in an attempt to cut costs, Comolli has enquired at Sevilla about how much they want for Antonio Puerta... :shifty:

Oh, come off it, it's been long enough :|

hutton and king have been on the bench recently and i dont see them on the pitch. king absolutely needs match fitness, i dont like the look of things regarding our CB situation at the moment.

no, he doesn't.

The dude walked out on the field, at Wembley, when he had not played a game in a month, barely trained in a month, and he went on to play brillianty for all 120 minutes and lead us to a carling cup victory against Chelsea.

He proved last season that he can step in whenever and do a job, and much more than that. We are just being careful, and not risking him too much in meaningless friendly matches (they serve a point but you know what i mean).

As long as he doesn't get injured in the next 2 weeks I'm certain he will start against Boro. And I can't wait.

And it's not like he's not been taking part in pre-season. He's been involved from the start, both in training and matches.

Exactly. Niether King or Woodgate have played loads in pre season. This is not because they are both injured, or because they wont play half the year, it's because playing less now will minimise the risk of injury later on. Each player had their own training program if you read any of the pre season stuff on the site.
There is no way King would keep playing if he was always injured. He would have been told to pack it in and we would have seriously gone after a defender.
As for Modric, he was on the bench in the last game so he is fine. You don't put injured players on the bench.
